    I'll have to see more testing before I decide intakes are worthless on the N55. The N54 sees good gains...

    I definitely trust Terry but as he said it's 3-10 WHP which could be basic dyno discrepancies. The fastest N55 in the world ran with a stock air box. Terry may have the dyno record but Shiv still has the run record and as I recall, I do not recall any intake limitation. If you want a great sound, tgen by all means its worthwhile.

    We have both the dragstrip and power output dyno records on the N55.. Click here to enlarge

    The gains are small, but there are positive gains vs. stock using our intake. I think 3-10hp is a good range depending on the RPM, boost levels used, etc. We ran 12.0@118 with the OEM airbox on a cold day, and in that trim did around 380rw on the dyno. We're doing 390rw on the dyno now with the intake and intercooler, but have not been able to run car again. Won't cool down for a few months and the track is rarely open down here to start with.

    It does not seem to offer the gains the N54 sees from an intake mod but there no doubt is something to gain there over the stock design.
