    Fort Lauderdale Hotels

What do you guys use for booking hotels? I'm going down to florida in a couple of weeks...need a good hotel that isn't too expensive...

Was about to book through hotwire, said it had a 4-star on fort lauderdale beach for $128/night but wouldn't give me the hotel name until I paid and I can't refund either....a bit shady if you ask me.

Anyone has any experience with them?

Usually use Expedia but haven't heard of anyone saying they had problems with hotwire.

Man wtf is up with the hotels in fort lauderdale, some are up there in star ratings but poor guest reviews?

-_- I really don't want to spend that much and end up with a crappy hotel. Any recommendations from the FL guys?

I've lived in fort laudy for 20 years. You should asked me. That hotel is nice, just FYI that image is 10x better than the real one. It's not bad, but dont expect vegas.

asdfasdf!@#$!@#$ What would have been a better choice? I mean, I'm not going to spend $400/night...that was the most decent I could find in the 200s...

What's something good to do down there? I was looking at Las Olas...random stuff there...

We usually walk down to the main beach area and have some drinks and eat. The Hilton is about a mile away and your hotel is probably 1.5 miles. I haven't been to Las Olas or the river walk. We also take a day and go to the sawgrass mills outlet mall...its huge....@DBFIU....what else is there to do in Lauderdale?

The bad thing is....we are driving down!!!!!!!!

las olas is the place to be if youve never been there... huge strip with tons of crossroads with clubs/bars. it has gone down the $#@!ter as of late, a lot of 'low class' $#@! people go there lately, but it still is a nice place to go see at least once. Hell i know people that still go weekly, why, I dont know.

Fort lauderdale beach is nice, hollywood beach is nicer, they redid the board walk and the weather these days is $#@!ing amazing.
