Do the cams sticky, its not going to be that much of a hassle. It will ultimately allow more fuel for fire Click here to enlarge literally

Why not contact Schrick and ask them directly?
Because before I do I want to learn everything I can.

I think nitrous is the more cost effective solution and offers a nice torque gain down low but I'm wondering at the gain cams could provide.

Yes Schrick will make specific grinds. But the problem is they won't do any R&D. They will make whatever you tell them to make. So the onus is on the requestor to spec it right. I think it's a worthwhile mod. I have seen Evo's gain good power with cams made for boosted applications.

I'm sure somebody here would be able to help me come up on paper with the ideal cam for a boosted application. You have me thinking about it seriously.

My main question though would be who would tune it.

This is the reason I would option out of getting these cams for your car Sticky.

First of all, a YSi is a big blower, the engine is even lower in compression then it was stock. And these cams are designed for NA performance, they were installed on a motor that has stock compression which is higher than yours and also a smaller blower then yours which is less draggy, yet it still feels hesitant under 3500 rpm.

All of that will be worse if you install those cams, they are not designed for a big centri like yours, and with low compression. That is my opinion, you will narrow out your powerband and your low end will feel like dog$#@!.

Maybe you could ask Gintani to help with your tuning? If not them, Evolve Automotive has tuned a few E46 M3 with aggressive cams and they are obviously getting into the FI scene. Maybe they can help you out as well.I would love to see a boosted S65B40 built to the absolute max!

The low end already feels like dog $#@!. Obviously this is all about top end power.

We'll see. First step is going to be maxing out the current setup. I won't even be spinning the blower to max yet although I will max it fairly quickly.

That guy ran a 9.6 recently. I asked him to update his post but I think he's away on vacation with his family.
