So fifth gear is putting you over 340.

You are in the right range, just stick with this dynojet.

Interesting the exhaust ports being closed didn't hurt and actually seemed to help slightly.

there was a slight 10 minute cooldown before the closed runs as i was playing with the exhaust ports, one of them got stuck. But the runs themselves were hot-lapped. I think thats what it mostly was, hell, even if it wasnt, its 3 hp. I can live with that for how it sounds
( even improperly working cut-out is still worth it in my opinion as even if i have to manually close it, i can have a quiet car when i , or the Mrs rather, wants it)

for comparisons sake, yea, im gonna have to stick with this one, but its sucks cause they are an hour away and my usual place is 15 minutes. I think after cat delete and tune runs here again, ill go straight back to Radical to compare, if they are within 5 or so hp, ill stick with Radical for ease

What were your conditions when you ran the vbox 1/4 run? My vbox 1/4 trap was a 121mph on dead flat terrain. It was 35F.

ah $#@!, it may have been a slight downhill. on one of my vbox tries, i just pulled over on the mexican freeway and waited until traffic was clear. once it was i just took off, but it was like an 11.11 60-130 and like 17.xx 1/4 time. road starts pretty straight, but does decline at least some though, just not sure how much for the 1/4.
i wasnt trying for the 1/4 time, but when looking over stats, it was in there, so i just went with it. Ill have real 1/4 times soon though, maybe saturday. i wanna see how atco and vbox times differ as wellhow atco and vbox times differ as well

Well vbox traps are suppose to be a little higher then a 1/4 strip. I also tried 60-130 on same flat terrain with 2 shifts. It was 9.9sec

eh, DJ dyno is just to compare with everyone else. if i want to tune on a dyno it would have to be a loaded one. (I could/would have gone to see @Mike@VAC if I wanted to tune on a dyno ( sorry, but they are just closer)) dyno is just to show "hp" gained. the real #'s im after are what those "hp #'s" equate to on a road, be it for a 60-130 or 1/4 mile, but I didnt want anyone guessing what the "HP" was before and after mods Click here to enlarge

Overall intent is to show exactly what can be expected (in any form-dyno-60-130, 1/4 mile) from an average enthusiast when they purchase XXX mods, or comparable mods, as I have, whichever tuner/kit/brand they may be. Same as with the 335..mods-fuel-boost-weight= all openly posted and easily replicated Click here to enlarge

Our dyno is a heart breaker. It reads lower than most Mustangs...LOL. I guess that happens when you keep it at 100% factory settings.

We will dyno our VF car and 135i soon on a friend's local DJ. Last time we tried it snowed and the dyno operator didn't make it in. We drove to the dyno on Blizzaks with no problem....

I can see where the car has pulled learning ignition timing in those curves Click here to enlarge

Needs more air and to not be hot lapped - they are far too heat sensitive.

You can just link directly from Facebook although looks like I have to buy the Facebook app. I think you would post more if it was connected.

Elaborate please. How do you see timing pulled? The dyno is what it is. But as far ad hotlapped, it was to show the realistic HP. Not a glory run. 3 runs back-back and 1hp variance is pretty damn good and leaves no question as to if it could make more.

There is no 'realistic' horsepower on a interia roller dyno with no load if you want to get technical. DJ's are just for numbers. Click here to enlarge

There is a knock event consistently at 7200 and then again at 7800 in most if not every pull. You can see it in the curve. Your logs would agree if you took them. I bet the timing starts doing it's normal seesaw at high rpms.

Hotlapping it just makes it worse - it's not outside or in a correct dyno cell therefore the IAT's are just skyrocketing with each hotlapped pull and the car is going into a different area of the timing compensation tables (which are set up aggressive from the factory.) Far from a day to day highway simulation. You need to stabilize coolant temp, IAT, and log timing prior to each run, and measure consistently to get real world numbers.

If you still have your bavarian technic I can send you the PID to log these things going forward.
