Terry's car, at Famoso not Sac, and with the information posted by and verified by Terry along with witnesses.

I see no anomalies there and both slips add up in context. It was also mentioned the driver was lighter so I see absolutely nothing that was not disclosed or is questionable.

If Hotrod was posting we would all have to read 10 paragraphs on his factory freak, how he can EASILY get another 3 mph out of it if the stars and planets align just right, how great his MPG was on the way to the track, and how Sac's timer is not inflated at all despite knowingly posting inflated times at that track when the timer was known to be off/broken. All this with a larger nitrous jet being used than claimed and then silence after the transmission gives out so he can push his own service work through at BMW's expense.

    Understand the difference?

Although, we're making a JB4 board specifically for large turbo cars that includes support for single turbos. So as soon as someone knocks off a good manifold for $1000 we'll be in business there. When you make this single turbo board, are you going to buy a single turbo and test it out? If you could keep a nice flat tq curve, I would buy it 100%.

For the Z06 you just need $2k in mods and can do it on pump gas with a suitcase in the trunk. Still, it's fun having a 135i that can hang with some of the bigger fish in the sea. Thats the part that worries me. I just have the biggest urge to bolt up 15 inch 28 inch slicks and drop the thing from 5k and not worry about something behind me dragging outside of the rear bumper maybe? lol

Ive said this for a while, the n54 still needs a REAL drag tire set up. Whoever is serious about this needs to get smaller rear brakes and go for a 15 inch rim with a tall dedicated slick out the back. Drop that baby to 15psi and see what breaks first, records or parts.

People make the argument that slicks are easier on the driveline than radials although that won't help when dropping at 5k.

This is the same problem every BMW trying to set records has. E46, E92, whatever, nobody seems to be running a bias-ply setup. I intend to.. with a 6200 rpm launch.

Like I've said before I'm not in a big rush to do anything like that but we'll have the hardware ready when the desire/demand strikes. Give it some time and I'm sure other companies will make much more affordable manifolds.

There are easier ways to $#@! driveline, especially the driveshaft. No need to go to a strip to do that Click here to enlarge

I've had a few 10 second cars, some of them 6spd manuals. One of the first ones would get 8" of air off the line and another 2-3" on the 1->2 shift. 15" slicks, skinnies, 90/10s, drag springs, etc. What they had going for them though was a live axle. I've also had a few low 11 second cars. And the difference between them and the 10 second cars was they generally made more power but were IRS and could not hook to save their lives (both manual and autos). I think we need a BMW 135i with a Ford 9" rear end and a built TH350 to really get competitive. Click here to enlarge

True but the point ultimately is there is still room to gain on the BMW's with the IRS before going to a solid rear and a powerglide.

I can't really hear them with the radio on. I'd say go for it. They are cheap, light, and hold up well. Click here to enlarge
