    Beer lover thread

    Currently drinking...

Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA. Great summer beer.

I like most beers from Anderson Valley Brewery. They have a great Oatmeal Stout, but that was a bit too strong for todays temperature.

    I also love good IPAs.

Various beers from Stone always have a place in my fridge. Plus it's a local brewery.

    Hmmm, where to begin.

For something I can get pretty much anywhere Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Fat Tire work. I like the Kona beers a lot. Pilsner Urquell would be one of faves from Europe. Okocim as well (Polish beer). The big marketed American beers just taste like watered down crap or apple juice to me. However, American microbreweries produce some of the finest beers on the planet. Would love to try them all one day but my liver wouldn't would like it.

Have started drinking porters as well lately but I'm a noob when it comes to porters.

    Sticky,
    I think you would like:

Duck Rabitt Milk Stout from North Carolina or Lion Stout from Sri Lanka. Lion Stout is my new dark beer of choice. 8 percent ABV but it finishes very nicely.

8% I would definitely like Click here to enlarge

I'll see if I can find the Lion Stout today, I'm out of beer anyway.

I may sound like a noob but have you ever tried summer ale from Sam Adams? its a perfect taste to go with the hot and humid miami summer. i dont know what the weather is like where you are but it should taste great no matter. then again, some people hate SA. another SA favorite of mine is the white ale. in addition to SA i like blue moon for the summer.

What Sam Adams does that is so cool is they have great variety packs. The Summer Ale is a nice, smooth, easy drinking wine. I am all about their Boston Ale when I can't get a Sierra Nevada or Fat Tire.

Sam Adams has a lot of good stuff and does a good balance between small brewery with lots of different tastes and a large brewery with marketing. They sort of fit that middle gap which is cool.

Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention this, my father has some beers on tap. This was due to me pushing for it a few years back as A. Bottles/can suck compared to draft beer and B. Takes a long time to run out of beer Click here to enlarge So he has Pilsner on tap among some others and nothing beats a California Summer Day by the pool with a keg of beer.

Keg fridges and the like for indoors are fairly cheap, outdoors are obviously expensive.

I have an extra fridge for beers only. I should turn it into a kegerator but I'm kinda lazy.
I should get off my ass and do another batch of homebrew.
I'll probably do Pliny the Elder since I can't get it here.
Unless I find someone in Ca willing to ship. That's an amazing beer!!

Pliny the Elder is out of this world. Unfortunately, they only carry it in California.

The only beer that remotately tastes like Pliney the Elder is made by Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth, NH. Belgian Tripel is the name. That was absolutely delicious, a limited release is 2009. They still have it on keg here. Best serves in a pinot glass.

Had a seasonal Karl Strauss brew today that was just incredible.

Call the Pintail Pale Ale, I suggest giving it a shot while they have it if you like a hoppy beer: http://www.examiner.com/x-21231-San-...ind-it-love-it

Ya... Sierra Nevada isn't exactly the healthiest. But you know what, I'm gonna drink a 6 pack, look at your threads, and laugh.

What can I say, I like Fosters Ale.

    Don't hate.
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.
