Spoke to SSP on clarification regarding what clutch discs they put in and Drew and I have the same discs. I don't know why I did not get the two additional discs I was promised.

I also don't understand what took so long now. I'm pretty disappointed overall. I'm not being anyone's guinea pig ever again.

The differences I was told is I have the new seals, cooler, exterior plates/pan, and lines.

Rated at 650 pound-feet of torque which is much more than I will be making as 650 torque at 8000 rpm would provide 990 whp.

I did that. They requested the car to measure for the cooler and run lines. I provided everything for them to do whatever they wanted to do.

Because I had my trans built in that same amount of time.

Hmmmm...4 months or 27 months, which would you guys all prefer?

You don't have the same trans. It isn't applicable.

The same lines you gotta move now? I don't know what to say, there has to be some thought put in this. You could have had your engine tuned and ready to go along time ago.

WTF do you want me to do? Sit there and monitor everything they do in South Dakota? They are the experts, it's their job.

How about it's my time to waste and use as I see fit?

Why are you all soooo concerned about the time of my build? Seriously? Do I need to be reminded every day? Is something going to change the timetable now?

Clarification, Drew has the same discs I do but it is a 12 disc setup vs. the stock 10 so I did get the additional discs but now others are benefiting from my R&D.

Lol yes! I mean it's your car after all. Experts or not you gotta be on top of people. I went to proline several times to see how my motor build was coming along and they are experts who build 100k motors. I've been to NRC to see my chassis being built at least 5 times and they build many cars but at the end of the day only I'm responsible for my stuff. For your next build think of yourself as a general contractor. You hire specialist but your only job is to make sure their work is done correctly and on time. In the two years gintani had your motor they could have built it and tuned it on an engine dyno.

Look, let me put it this way.

It's my $#@!ing car, my $#@!ing money, and my $#@!ing time. I do not care what anyone else has to say about it.

I will do it my way and however I please and you guys can sit back and appreciate that I was willing to sacrifice the time and be a guinea pig for R&D for DCT upgrade options that everyone is benefiting from even those I consider total tool bags.

It's so easy to sit there and point fingers saying what should have been done instead of appreciating what has been done and the sacrifice involved. Go do something with your N63.

If you don't care what anyone has to say about it it was a bad idea to make a build thread on it, that's the whole point of posting all this up online. I will do something with my N63 but I will put some thought into it and devise a good plan or else I'll end up with my car in pieces for years on end for no good reason.

Dude, just let it be, Sticky has it all figured out, he has an answer and an excuse for every logical point that is made. Gintani or SSP must have someserious dirt on Sticky to warrant this type of behavior.

Ok the 7g is spectacular. Doesn't change the fact it is a torque converter automatic.

What are we talking about here? Why is it constantly some kind of comparison?

The 7g electronics were the majority of the issue, not the hardware. It is an automatic box.

Stupid how? About what? Why are you taking this nonsense so far?

Maybe I'm just a reasonable human being and not interested in allowing forum banter to cause me to pointlessly ream people?

I found myself calling SSP upset today and I don't even know why. After talking with them I realized it's you guys, the arm chair experts, that seem to think you know better than people actually doing work.

Stop sitting there and pointing fingers and just wait and see the completed car. However long it takes is however long it takes. Post count isn't going to change it.

It was a bad idea to inform the community? It was a bad idea to share technical details? It was a bad idea to push the platform?

The whole point of making a build thread isn't for me to sit there and read idiot's comments. It is to inform and share information positively. Why you all are so negative and constantly criticizing I have no clue. Take a look at yourself.

We'll see how your "plan" goes when you get to it. I didn't sit around waiting for anyone, I pushed ahead.

It's basically a 7 speed torque converter auto box. That is what it is. That isn't a negative comment or derogatory in any way but I'm simply pointing out is not fair at all to compare different technologies to each other and expect similar build times or results.

Would you try being positive instead of combative?

Those are all good things but people also see mistakes being made and obviously people will point it out. What's so funny is if anyone elses build you'd be doing the same thing, talking about how strange it is nothing is being done etc. What I meant is when you put your business online you gotta take the good with the bad, and no one is being negative yes your build is gonna be basses but that doesn't change the fact that everything has been lagging at a snails pace and you just keep playing it off.

What mistakes? What intimate knowledge do you possess about this that nobody else does?

Take the good with the bad and be prepared for me to respond.

Gintani isn't lagging on this. I'm not playing it off. I said I won't do this again and I'm not happy about the time it took but I am not going to sit here crying over spilled milk. The time is gone, I'm looking forward to my car being completed and shoving it down the throat of a lot of people.
