New X3 still in camo, but more naked

    Meh..it's an X3

These are most likely the last spy photos of the second generation BMW X3. The official press release and photos are days away, and we will have a chance to see the new X3 fully unveiled. The mid Premium SAV has recently entered the final evaluation phase and several prototypes are being tested on U.S. soil. While the first generation X3 was assembled in Austria by Magna Steyr automaker, the new F25 model joins the X-family at their Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.

The “kicked-up” window line that first saw the daylight in the X3 will be again evident and it will be seen as an X3 characteristic, a design element that will be associated with the model. While sitting higher than the X1, the new X3 seems to have inherited some of the features from the new entry-level compact SAV, mostly around the front-fascia.

This thing is going to be badass with a diesel.

I also would not object to it getting the V8...

It's an X3, though...I don't see that happening this time around.

Finally looks like a baby X5.

    I like it.

I would rather have the lighter X3, with a diesel.

Exactly, the dimensions are actually supposed to be around the same as the previous gen X5.

The current X5 is way too heavy, would rather have the diesel version of this as well.

smaller, lightweight version of the x5 but with a diesel would be sick.

As long as they change the look, to look more like the x5 or even the x6.

The current design is just hideous!

I respectfully disagree. Stock it needs the bumpers painted or else it looks horrible:

A couple more renderings before we get the final product. I won't mind if it looks like this:

I doubt they will give this thing the V8 but if they did... it would be BMW's hottest performance SUV.

As weird as it sounds, this car makes much more sense for an M SUV than the X5 or X6. We are talking an almost 1500 pound weight difference.

I like what I have seen so far, the official reveal is close.
