    Fixing headphones?

I'm so sick of buying expensive headphones only for them after a while to stop working because at the very end before the jack plug the bend comes apart after while.

I'm guessing I can just cut it, solder it, and then shrink wrap it and it should work like new right?

If the soldering job was done bad, it will affect the sound quality. Remember you are getting an anolog signal through there.

I prefer headphones without that elbow. It gets snagged harder.
But what can you do? Good quality headphones tend to have that design.
I woul cut it off and put a straight jack on if you're goin to cut it anyway.

Cheap headphones will break at the jack always. That place is high stress. You need to get higher quality headphones.

I have the 30 dollar ones. To be honest, I found a set on the floor at school. I knew they were lifetime warranty, I sent them in. They sent me brand new ones back... no questions asked.

What do you think of these? http://www.headphone.com/headphones/...-bluetooth.php

If go wireless I can simply avoid this cable bending issue.

Actually, I was about to suggest that.
Or a really long extension cable...

I bought my old man a pair of J-bird headphones for Christmas last year hes only used them a few times but he said they sound pretty good, but he would have never went out and bought them himself cause he barely uses headphones unless hes flying. I personally haven't listened to any music using them.

As far as wireless goes, I don't really trust anything wireless when it comes to audio. I just got over the whole wireless internet thing about a year or so back lol
