    ICS Twin Turbo E36 Build

    Good afternoon Boost Heads, ICS will be building a custom twin turbo kit for an E36 M3 next 3-5 weeks for a client. I will provide the forum with a complete documentary of the entire build.

    Please post up the whp and wtq GRAPHS from YOUR twin turbo M Coupe
    so that we can see the advantages of having two smaller turbos,
    compared to one nicely sized compressor.

    Unless your customer is interested in the FUNCTIONAL use of twin turbos
    (spooling EARLIER than a standard turbo setup)
    then the twins are merely an expensive, gorgeous novelty,
    similar to breast implants,
    that will slow you down in the long run.

    Results rock. Is the graph below the only documented "go" at it?

    The graph below is the only one I found (that you offered back when)
    to "show" us numbers.
    Unfortunately, it DOESN'T show RPM based torque.

    Yo, I don't think ICS is claiming the twins will have an advatange. I think the point of this is to do something different and show off capability to tackle various setups. Let's see how this goes, don't fall into the negative pattern please.

    Try not to be negative please.

    We know that ICS can weld pipes together, attach turbos and have ship someone in to tune a system
    ("show off capability to tackle various setups")
    VERY WELL.

    They have done one twin turbo set-up (maybe more)
    and I think the BMW community would like to see a twin set up done right...
    done with intention/motive of making early spool and early torque/power,
    not just the boring big numbers,
    like a prancing, transgendered show horse.

    Take your time, do it right.
    You'll thank yourselves in the end.

    After a century of turbo builds and experience,
    it will be easy to be at FULL BOOST prior to 3600 rpm
    and show well over 600whp. Click here to enlarge

    Anybody and their mom can boost BIG numbers 600 whp ++
    (or even 452 whp/ 395 wtq like the recent ICS "kit")
    with FULL BOOST at 4500 rpm.

    Not confused at all, I am well aware they are building a new car for someone... I was just referring to the only other twin car they did that EVERYONE knows about and how it's an awesome machine. Whether you agree with the idea of doing twins or not, there is no arguing that it is cool.

    If they can truly get a twin car to hit full boost by 3500 and still pound out big #'s, I have no doubt that people would want to do it if the additional money required to fabricate all of the extra stuff just happened to fall into their pockets somehow. You can't say you wouldn't want a car that is super unique and is stupid fast too...
