Dinan releases Steage 2 BMW N55 turbo six cylinder performance software - $1999 and 355 horsepower

Dinan has released their Stage 2 Performance Software for BMW's equipped with the N55 direct injected turbo six cylinder. It is currently available for 2011-2012 BMW 335's (including X-drive), E82 135i, and the E70/E71 X5 and X6 35i. Applications for the F10 535i and F25 X3 xDrive35i are coming soon. $1999 is a bit on the high side but one can be very confident in choosing Dinan and the Dinan supplied warranty in lieu of the BMW factory warranty is always an attractive option for owners concerned about any potential issues. No dyno graph provided as usual and we wish Dinan would get out of this habit.

After hundreds of hours of hard work by the Dinan engineering team the N55 Performance Software is now available for immediate download via OBDII at all Dinan Dealers around the world. Dinan, the most trusted name in the BMW aftermarket is now offering the most anticipated Performance Software in years and as always is covered by the most comprehensive and longest warranty, a BMW new car factory matching warranty coverage up to 4 years / 50,000 miles.

It is well known that the N55 engine software has been a tough nut to crack. Our 4 full time software engineers were able to make a blistering fast software tune that will push your guts into your spine, smoke the tires and put a big smile on your face. Using years of experience tuning BMWs for the street as well as winning back-to-back Grand-AM DP Championships and the 2011 24 Hours of Daytona the Dinan team is the best in the business.

Dinan Performance Software is so much more than just tuning up the turbo boost. It is a fully re-tuned engine management program that maximizes power while keeping all the BMW factory safeguards in place. Protecting your BMW while giving the most performance is the definition of "Performance Without Sacrifice". Drivetrain and engine components are analyzed for strength then the program is tested on the dyno and in the real world for durability and drivability. Dinan matches the new car warranty coverage for up to 4 years or 50,000 miles, including the possibility of consequential damages. The top speed governor is removed (X5 & X6 top speed, 155 mph), enabling the BMW to achieve its full potential.

    Benefits:

    + Substantial Power Increase

+ Only Pure OBDII Software Upgrade On The Market

+ Better Drivability than "Piggyback" boxes

    + Hassle Free Operation

+ Huge Torque Gains Drastically Improves Acceleration

+ No Shipping! Available at ALL +130 Dinan Dealers Around the World

    + No Hesitation Between Shifts

+ Downloads through the BMW diagnostic port, the same way BMW loads software

+ Top Speed Governor Removed, you decided how fast you want to go (X5 & X6 top speed, 155 mph)

+ Factory Matching Warranty Coverage (4year/50,000 mi), no sleepless nights or being scared to go to the BMW dealer

+ Full Map Rescaling, for drivability from idle to wide open throttle and everywhere in between

+ Properly Returned Fuel Mixtures, to save you gas and protect your engine

+ Water Pump Speed Increased, to improve cooling

+ Retain All BMW Factory Engine Damage Safeguards

+ Free Dinan Software Updates for the Life of the Car, if BMW makes an update so do we.

If it's like the tune they offer for N54, the stage 1 should make around 340-50.

BTW, what happened in Dubai airport man? Click here to enlarge

There is no stage 1... Stage 2 is the New Stage 1... Click here to enlarge
Notice there are no Hardware requirements for Stage 2... Just upgrade the ECU and go... Stage 1 is probably the BMW performance upgrade... But Dinan doesn't require it as a pre req. upgrade for Stage 2.

    What did happen at Dubai?

$40/HP is a little steep. Install labor is about 2 hours.

Of course it's a little steep, that's that BMW tax and Dinan Warranty in Effect... Compared to other tunes (piggyback's and other Flash's the cost to HP is a little less, But you don't get Dinan's Warranty. (I'm not about to discuss the value or non-value of their warranty)

For the Peace of mind (relative) for 4 years, with the warranty provided it's worth it. But for those who want more without the Dinan Tax, they will go other routes.

Yes it has, you requested I should clean it but since Dinan is not a sponsor here should we?

To keep it on topic and be professional I guess we should. It's your decision since this thread and info exists thanks to you.

Way too expensive, but nice option to have nonetheless. I'd much rather remove my JB4 every time I visit the dealer then spent this much money for much less power.

I'm not a supporter of Dinan (and never have been) but I did request info from them and they did provide. I could never get Dinan as I am not willing to get rid of my Custom Mods in order to have their warranty. But for those who are Dinan Fanatics, who may or may not be on this Forum, this is important Info.

I think the thread should stay as is, but any further Straying from the Topic should be deleted, even if I am the offender (see equal opportunity hater).

Some people definitely are Dinan fanatics and I understand the appeal for those who want mild/reliable upgrades and are a bit paranoid about their warranty.
