thats the great thing about diesels, is that torque doesnt fall off up top like a gas engine does...it makes 450ft/lbs from 1000rpm to redline Click here to enlarge

Love the tq of a diesel motor very impressive.. Been toying with the idea of a Golf TDi with a chip, 19"s and coilovers as a DD. Good vid

I bought a Scion XD last September with 60 miles on her and now I have 9600 I drive a ton of miles and the mileage is not great. A 4dr TDi Golf would allow me to throw my 85lb Boxer in the back and still have a decent looking ride, the 19's would be good weather and I would run stockers with all seasons during the colder months.

Good to see you still have your great sense of humor when you argue with Sticky.

Video is a little strange. Noway that m3 should have gotten walked that bad by a lightly modded diesel unless that thing has a lot of work done to it

it doesnt look like they went all that fast, and the D got pulled on though. i think it was a run that just highlights the D up to maybe 100mph or so, right where a stockish M would pull on it

The diesel has way more torque to begin with. That was a horsepower race, makes no sense. I have seen no 335D trapping over 112.

Actually, never mind, M3 was the car on the left. I thought that was the 335d at first. The M3 should have pulled up top like that, everything is fine.

I was wondering the same. but look at the gauges in the right car, look like M gauges.
    This video is really confusing.
