On the KL Racing page, which FMIC is this could you share a exact link? They don't list it as the "Big Tom" FMCI, would probably double the price if it fits a BMW so it is all good Click here to enlarge

    Here it is:

If you're outside of Europe don't place your order online, make sure you call them! I made a mistake ordering online and they charged an extra 50 something euros for VAT which those outside of Europe don't need to pay...poor Petra from KL had to wire the VAT back due to this issue...VAT is part of the price so the price that's showing on their site (178€) "includes" VAT already...

So, any noticeable or measurable difference from the Helix to that intercooler?

No noticeable difference at all but logs will come to address that...just waiting on some nice weather so the tires will have some traction..

oh, only for about a year with RBs and around 5-600 runs all datalogged in all sorts of weather, on/off meth...did you read the original post or did you just comment on the pic?

trust me, in terms of lag there's no difference, in terms of butt dyno, no difference, in terms of additional wgdc (more pressure drop) there's no difference in the wgdc logs, in terms of IAT suppression I am not certain yet, think they might be close but if i had to put my money on it I'd bet on the helix in that department just because i know that the helix fmic is unreal when it comes to keeping IATs in check and close to ambient...haven't had as much time with the kl racing one to play with and learn...once i have enough data to show i'll post it, good or bad...

in my case though iat suppression won't matter much even if its 10-20F apart as meth will take care of it, which i run religiously on this car
