    My new M3

Now I'm a proud owner of an E92 M3 Click here to enlarge

I love this ride. Coming form the n54 platform I already had high expectations, but this car exceeds them all. It's a pure driving pleasure.

Can you write a brief summary why you like it over the 335i?

Congrats on the purchase, open that exhaust up and let that S65 sing!

    Thank you guys.

The 335 is a great fast car. It may be faster on a straight line like 0-60 or on the 1/4 mile than a stock M3. But straight line performance is just one (very important) facet of the driving experience. The M3 is simply not for drag racing. But it provides the best overall driving experience in this class, in my opinion. It has better handling, brakes and suspension, superior cornering, driving it just feels much better than the 335. It doesn't have much torque on lower rpm's, but you also drive the M3 a little differently. Make sure you're always in the right gear and rev it high, 4500-redline where it shines. The agility of the s65 along with the excellent handling just make it even more enjoyable than driving the 335. I did some cornering comparison, when there's heavy body roll with the 335, with the M3 it was almost like cruising on a freeway. After a week with the M3, driving the 335 felt like my front tires were flat. Steering was harder.
The M3 also looks sexier and sounds better.

Anyways, there are many great cars in this class, some of them are more powerful (C63 AMG), some of them accelerates from 0 to 60 faster (tuned 335) but for me the M3 is the car that has the best overall qualities. And that's where it starts at stock form. Add a tune, x-pipes and exhaust and it's even better.

Supercharge it, and you have a beast.

OE tuning flash, full catless x-pipes (probably challenge race). Based on my knowledge, these give me the most power for the money. Do you guys recommend anything else? (pulley, intake etc.)

    I have a few recommendations.

Get scoops with the tune, cheap mod, nice difference from my experience. Definitely full exhaust, pulley, and a filter. Then you are set!

I just ordered OE tuning flash and challenge race x-pipes. They will be installed in a few weeks.

    Next: scoops, filter, underdrive pulley
Hopefully soon: muffler - still have not decided what to get. Considering fabspeed maxflo, or remus. (I don't want to spend too much money)

I hope my full catless x-pipes won't be obnoxiously loud or raspy.

yeah, I've been watching youtube videos of different exhaust combinations all day Click here to enlarge
maxflo is also slightly cheaper (and includes connecting pipes) than other exhausts
I wish modding the M3 was as cheap as the 335 Click here to enlarge

Very nice M3! Your comparison shows that suspension mods are equally important as power mods on the 335i.

I can help with Fabspeed Click here to enlarge We LOVE the Fabspeed sound, and it is the only catless system we have experienced that has no drone on highway, but sounds like satan's chariot @WOT outside the vehicle. We are master Akrapovic dealers and we have sold Meisterschaft, Eisenmann, Active etc. For the money, the Fabspeed system ROCKS.

These vids kinda suck....a new one is coming soon.

I love the sound of the fabspeed, and I think that's going to be my next mod. How much is the muffler?
I just got my challenge race x-pipes on today. I also had a chance to ride in a VF620 supercharged M3. Guys, words cannot describe the experience. WOW or OMFG is the closest Click here to enlarge
