RB Turbo upgrade: MSRP $3999. Introductory pricing $2899.

The introductory pricing is very good, but the MSRP is not as good as expected. Rob Beck is taking $1500 deposits to get in on this ASAP.

RB mentions that the tuning is still a work in progress but that the JB3 seems to be handling the turbos just fine. I think any tune will be able to run these, should not be an issue.

You need to supply your core:

I have several sets in stock and will be selling them outright or on a core exchange basis. Buying outright is generally cheaper, but keep in mind outright core pricing is subject to change quickly pending on my supplies. Refundable core charges will be much higher, but you will get a refund when I get your old cores back.

Much enlarged Compressor and Turbine wheel. Upgraded centersection. Full Billet enhanced Wastegate Assembly. These turbos retain water cooling and the CHRA has been machined/adapted to work with all OEM coolant and oil lines providing a turbo setup that is a direct bolt-on!

Part numbers for actuator you will need:

You will need to buy your own actuators on your own if you'd like new ones, this is optional but maybe a safe bet considering their relative cheap cost (~$70 for both). Keep in mind, I upgrade the Wastegate ASSEMBLIES in the turbine housing as standard part of my upgrade. The Wastegate Actuators are a "bolt on" component to the turbo and are not part of the ASSEMBLY whatsoever. I'd highly recommend replacing the ACTUATORS to compliment my upgraded ASSEMBLIES.
    Actuator BMW part #s:
    11-65-7-585-745 (Front)*
    11-65-7-585-746 (Rear)
*You need 2 Fronts for a RHD 335I or 135I, so do not order a Rear.

Yes, yes, we know, you are first on the list, we know.

So late June? Then install, then tune, etc.? So on the road hopefully July?

Guess he gave himself room to raise the price later. However, the MSRP is probably just there to make the intro price look better as I would not pay MSRP knowing he is willing to sell for $2900. That is likely the price point for all sales.

Yes there are no numbers yet, and Terry is working with RB on the tune, but the JB3 2.0 can handle it with no problems so far.

I think the people on the list for July, will be the beta users.

correct, these have not yet been produced. noone but RB has these and tuning is still in the works but is taking time as he would not sell until he knew the hardware was perfect. Its on the "beta" group to help out with tuning. I believe there is a mix of tunes being ran within the first group so its going to be fun to watch

I only have 9k KMs on my car so I won't be in the market for new turbos for a while. I have a couple of friends on the beta list and am very much hoping for good things for them. I am guessing by the time my stockers are ready to be replaced HPF will have their stage 2 kit ready. I am very much interested in their manifold and fuel rail design along with a big single setup but my fingers are crossed for these turbos, its about damn time their is a solution for N54s.

I think the three letters "bmw" has something to do with such a big price on some very small turbo's.

    They do look good though.

really terry? you're saying buying a 250 dollar meth kit provides the same power increase as upp'd turbos? maybe in peak numbers but even so i think turbos have it beat. also upgrading your turbos allows you to run more boost, safely, instead of over-spinning an already over-spun stock turbine. the comparison in area under the curve on methkit vs turbo upgrades is laughable, but it comes with a price. coming from someone with your knowledge and background i expected a more professional and honestly 'better' outlook on performance modifications. if you truly believe a meth kit is comparable to a turbo upgrade i can see why shiv doesnt wish to argue with you.

on another lighter note, i like the pics, thanks sticky, i cannot wait to be able to compare ASR's product to this one. im going to ASR on thursday as of now, and im really excited... should get the car back by the weekend or if not early next week.

i think he meant, what enthusiast, looking for more power, is going to spend the $$ on upped turbo's (any turbo kit) and not spend the $ on a meth kit to extract that upped HP

A lot of people don't want to deal with meth and race gas and just want a nice daily driver without all the extra BS. Pump gas logs/dynos are far more interesting to me than dumping in race gas/running meth and pushing things to the limit. Those numbers are fine and dandy and are of course definitely welcome, but the most telling about how they perform will be pump gas only results.

JPSimon, didn't you order meth kit already?
You don't find many turbo upgrades without meth, so w/o meth would be quite theorethical dyno graph.

He meant you don't find many cars with upgraded turbos and without meth. I believe you agree, since you are going to have them both as well.

Nice if you are finally getting ASR turbos. It's been quite a wait.... Its' almost hard to believe that you would have them only week from now Click here to enlarge
