Thumbs up New HPF BMW 335i EXHAUST - PICS and VIDEO

Here are some pictures of our "NEW" single 3.5" exhaust "with Resonator" for the BMW 335i. Our previous versions did not include the resonator and many people that have our Gen 1 versions wanted it to be a little quieter. People also wanted a better price. Not only did we accomplish both of these goals, we also kept the extremely high quality as you can see from the pictures below. We offer both flame style and polished titanium tips.

    Features

    • A Staggering 40 lbs weight savings (OEM Exhaust = 75 lbs, HPF Exhaust = 35 lbs)
    • 100% 304 Stainless Steel 3.5" Exhaust
    • 14" Stainless Steel High Flow Resonator
    • 3.5" Fully Adjustable Titanium Tips
    • Super strong stainless V-Band flanges For easy installation and adjustment along with leak free operation
    • Pre-Welded Stainless Steel Bung and Plug for Wideband Setups
    • Fully Polished
    • 100% Mandrel Bends
    • Flex Section
    • Rubber Isolated Mounts
    • Minimal exhaust movement due to triangular mounting method
    • Minimal Drone
    • Aggressive Styling with Large 3.5" Tips
    • Exotic Exhaust Note

This is still just a prototype and it will be three months for our first production batch. If anyone has any questions about these or would like to find out more information, please PM me or my staff.
    Thanks.
    Chris.

I'd like to know 2 things:

    1) given stock catback is 2.36" inner diameter DUAL SPLIT what power does that support? According to a few sites that calculate hp based on CFM through a circular exhaust they claim stock would be good for about 450hp

    2) for a 3.5" single they say it's around 470-480hp...

This is based on the equation that 1hp equals 2.2cfm on the exhaust side

Here's the calculator I used, pretty easy to use:

    http://www.mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator5.php

Stock dual pipe exhaust (2.36" inner diameter) => Max power supported: 457hp

Dual 2.5" aftermarket exhaust (e.g. AE) => Max power supported: 513hp

Single 3.5" aftermarket exhaust (e.g. HPF) => Max power supported: 503hp

Looks like a dual 2.5" and a single 3.5" should support very similar power levels. At the same time, given above numbers I know a TT Vette outputting 1080whp at a local shop did it on a dual 2.5" exhaust...when they switched to a dual 3" exhaust they picked up 80whp on the same tune..a dual 3" exhaust, according to the calculator, supports up to 739hp worth of exhaust flow before becoming a restriction

    Any opinions/explanation?

Wow, sounds great! How is the pricing though? Really thinking about picking something up next year...

    edit: nm, got it. ~$1600

Question, does this exhaust fit the e93? I know the rear is a bit different with the brackets and all.

    TIA

The biggest issue with this exhaust is going to be the drone. Any promotional video that doesn't have an interior shot of the car cruising in 4th, 5th, or 6th btw 2K and 2.6K RPM is a waste of time.

This comes up all the time, the drone. My answer is :"Who gives a flying squirrel." Don't want drone? Don't modify your car. Simple. Or just get new exhaust tips or something.
