    Holy $#@!...

    YES!!!

But Odom is gone too? Man... that is a bit of a loss but Chris Paul is ridiculous. A real guard is what the Lakers needed.

I guess it defeats the purpose of the new labor deal that is "designed to shrink the gap between the strongest and weakest teams".

Would the owners be able to stop the trade if the Hornets were not Owned by the NBA?
Would they be able to stop a Howard deal to the lakers since Orlando is not owned by the NBA?

I don't know but that seems to be the major problem. Why would the trade talks get that far if they intended to veto it? It is a hasty backlash.

I wanted O-dumb gone a long time ago.

Good to get something for him before his trade value drops. Him and his fat wife are gone.

They still got Bynum for Howard. Bynum is their biggest trade value. Big man for big man, of course they will have to add a little something in with him.

Either way, Howard will be a Laker. Even if he has to sign as a free agent in 6 months after the short season is over.

This is all a giant mess. Now Chris Paul is supposedly seeking legal action.

They all know Howard was going to LA as well.

The owners don't want Paul, Howard, Bryant on one team.

Orlando actually thinks they can resign Howard. So he will become a free agent. Just about everyone thinks he will sign with the Lakers.

Who knows maybe this trade for CP3 still goes through. If not, he will be a free agent as well at the end of this short season. Lakers can pick up both players, like the Heat. No one can stop it then.
