Advice on my next purchase. Wavetrac 3.46 Automatic Differential

I browse the fs threads a lot and this recently caught my attention, a Wavetrac 3.46 Automatic Differential. Its used and has about 10k on it. He wants my diff for his wavetrac diff + $1000. We each pay our own labor for the install. He will also give me his stock internals out of his diff. So deal or no deal? Do I really need this mod?

Need, need... You need to breathe, eat and drink.
But it makes driving your car way more fun. Better traction, better handling. And for $1000,- a fair price.

One of the priciest mods you can make. Pulls it all together and allows you to put down the power from all the other mods. But, you won't get the flashing lights on the dash anymore, which may be a drawback during the holidays!

Don't worry about the.flashing tracktion lights.
They will.not go away. They.will just be less frequent.

They'll still flash trust me although not as often in higher gears..in combination with some nice tires flashing should really subside...

I could not imagine not having an LSD. No brainer if the cost isn't an issue.
