In the pipe. You can see A/F, Speed, and Power, but that looks to be it.

    Dudes, HP = TQ*RPM/5252

    Therefore TQ =( HP/RPM)*5252

You have RPM, you have HP you can calculate torque at every RPM.

    srsly gaiz?

Yes, we know, but he didn't have the RPM readout, he had speed.

Get the total gear ratio and rolling tire radius to get engine speed.

Don't forget to record the Rhodium Transcontiuum Xavier Portal Selectifier data log, that's the most important peice of data when Dyno'ing.

This is so true, it lets you know that the Turbo Encabulators are working properly.

I'm dynoing on Saturday. Stock + tunes (the ones I have, anyway).

We can finally put to rest some of the questions. My only concern is that it's going to be one hot mofo, and I don't think I'm going to be able to get up to the dyno shop until later in the day. I hope their fans do a bang-up job. Click here to enlarge

Won't just be with the JBD, either, although I'll likely keep the results of the other tune to myself.

Bummer I haven't gotten any of the ECU flashes done yet..but those can wait for the dyno day. Click here to enlarge

I installed the JBD last week and am very satisfied with it.

The traction control certainly gets more of a workout.

I had the misfortune to have to make a trip from Reno to Vegas- it is about 500 miles of the most godforsaken desert you will ever see.

I was able to make the trip on a tank of fuel easy, but the most amazing thing to me is that I set the cruise on 92 (88 MPH verified on my Passport's GPS), so I never went any slower than 88, but had several occasions to go much faster (I actually saw 142 MPH-again via GPS) and it absolutely pulled like a freight train. I have no doubt that I could see the speed limiter @ 155 (not sure if the JBD removes that...). I averaged 32.2 MPH in 100+ degree heat, AC on.

If I could only contain myself, 40+ would have been realistic. The first 50 miles of the trip are on civilized roads and I was planning to go the speed limit to see what I could get for the whole trip (that plan died quickly!), but I was showing 42 on the trip computer until I dropped the hammer.

What a car and nice improvement with the JBD

You made the trip on one tank easily? I can't get from Orange County to Vegas on one tank in my M3, that is impressive. How much did you have left?

i had just 1/8th of of a tank left, the computer said another 70 miles of range left.

I have gotten a best of 524 miles on a tank, but I never make a whole tank of highway- the D is not as good around town. It is a beast.

16.1 gallons and I took 14.821, so 70 miles might have been a little aggressive.

    Few things:

    1. The reported tank is 16.1 gallons, but I've put 17 in the tank. I'm pretty sure there's a 2 gallon reserve.
    2. I've gotten 740 (equated to just over 45MPG) out of 1 tank (trip to Phoenix and back), but it's only happened once. Since, I've only gotten 38.4MPG once, too. I find it too hard to not slam the car more often than not, but in 66 fill-ups, I've averaged 28.6MPG.
    3. JBD doesn't remove the limiter, as that's not a simple task, and isn't done by any piggyback that I know of. Terry's mentioned, I believe (Terry, please correct me if I'm wrong) that he has no interest in doing so for this car, either.
    4. Someone actually did a graph based on gear ratios on the d, and I believe the map showed that the d would top out in 6th somewhere around 180.
    5. 40+ MPG just after installing the JBD is going to be inaccurate. Initial installations kind of mess with the gas MPG calculations, so your best math is done by Miles/fill up gallons.

As I've said on the N54tech forums, Terry has a winner for the money here. It's time to see what it really does, though. Click here to enlarge

New tunes for the 335d/X5 35d:

    335d
    X5 35d

I have an email out to them to see if I can get a hold of a test chip to play with.

VAC tune is in the mail, so that should be in my grubby lil hands next week.
