    Cobb Stage 2+ sport logs

Okay I just loaded up the stage 2+ sport maps and have been doing some logs to see how everything's running. Car is noticeably faster than stage 1 aggressive. I was topping off with 5 gals of e85 with CA's 91 shell v-power, haven't tried it with stage 2+ aggressive...yet. At 4000 rpms the boost comes in strong and the car takes off. Is that normal for stage 2+, its not like the car is slow before 4k rpms, but you can really feel the boost increase right around then.

Whats bothering me is in almost all my logs i'm getting timing corrections in multiple cylinders, and boost isn't consistent from run to run. Sometimes it will only hit 14-15 psi sustainted and others times it will hit 17 and hold 16 psi for some time. I'm not sure if that correlates with my iats climbing in the last logs, causing the tune to add more boost. What would casue the timing corrections? not enough octane, old coil packs?

Mods are ar dp's, ets 7" fmic, dci. Car has 49K miles. AT tranny

spark plugs were changed by bmw less then 8k miles ago. I have the 933 model # hpfp that was changed in sept. of 2010, not sure what software im on. And i've had 4 of the 6 injectors replaced.

    appreciate any input!

anyone..... I did do a few 1/4 miles runs using the cobb ap last night as well. Never been to the track or used this feature before. First run was 12.9 at 114.5 with like a 2.3 60 ft and 90mph in the 1/8th. I was suprised it reads out all the same parameters as when you get a real time slip. i figured it would just show your et and trap speed. I do wish it would save the runs though, sucks that you have to take a pic of it.

To get help or people to comment try graphing and posting images of your logs on here instead of CSVs...no one has time to actually graph other ppls logs other than tuners changing the tune...just fyi

Okay here is one log. I had to slit it in three parts so you can see all logged channels. I did log boost as well but when i copy and past the log and then click graph it it doesn't give me the option to click boost. I don't know if its because I'm trying to log too many channels and it cuts out boost as it's the last channel in the log.

Here, took datalog7 and cleaned it up a little. You have a lot of unnecessary and irrelevant stuff in there though that I got rid of. Click here to enlarge

thanks themyst! While you guys may prefer to look at the graphs I find it easier to look at the csv files as far a understanding whats going on. I guess I could have just taken screenshots of the csv's opened in exxel and posted those...

Right now I just have the default channels that cobb has you log. Which channels should I turn off to clean up the graph's? And whats your thoughts on the timing corrections?

Lambda bank 1/2, STFT bank 1/2, LTFT bank 1/2, Timing correction cyl 1-6, timing 1-6, Knock Volt 1-6, WGDC bank 1/2, charge air temp, fuel mode, boost (if this ever reports correctly).

Not necessarily all at the same time. I'd probably want Timing correction cyl 1-6 more so than actual timing 1-6 now that I think about it. If you have a flat line across 0 with timing correction, engine is quiet and happy.

Given you're not running meth injection given your high IATs I'd say your logs look good. You can also see that on the first few logs you had some throttle closures (TPS fluctuation) which eventually cleaned up later. This is the way Cobb/flashes regulate boost. You can see that for later logs throttle closures have subsided indicating the tune has adjusted its wastegate duty cycles (WGDCs) and throttle plate is nice and wide open (no closures). No worries there as far as I can see..

thanks guys, I have been wanting to try out the aggressive map with some e85 mixed in but with those timing corrections I was a little worried I would get some misfires. I'm going down to LA today so i'm gunna try and find a 76 station and get some real race gas and give it a go. I'll make sure to take some more logs of that as well.

Man so the cheapest race gas I could find was $8 a gal for 100 oct. so I said $#@! it and just filled up two 5 gal jugs of e-85 for $3.69 a gal instead. Normally I fill up to just under 3/4 tank of 91 and then put the 5 gal of e-85 in. This time I had a 1/2 tank 91 and added the 5 gal of e-85. Butt dyno tells me the car was faster but i still need to do some logs and a 1/4 mile runs using the cobb. I was curious if anyone with a vbox and a cobb has compared the 1/4 times. I know the vbox is using gps but I'd be nice to know how accurate the cobb is.

Also I sent in the logs to cobb and got a response back from Ian Amrstrong. He said they looked good for the most part and that one log had 3 cylinders with timing corrections at the same time and to watch out for that. If it keeps happening said the tune may be too aggressive. Don't know if that means I need higher octane fuel, new plugs , or coils. Would hate to have to run the drive map.

Cobb just opened a shop in LA so once ATR comes out I'll probably have them make a dyno tuned map for running an e-85 blend.
