Is this what the 2014 F82 BMW M4 (formerly M3 coupe) will look like?

Check out these awesome renderings of the F82 BMW M4. We still can not get used to the idea of an M4 coupe instead of an M3 coupe as it has always been. Especially considering the M3 started as a coupe and not as a sedan. We think the idea is idiotic and BMW is needlessly complicating things but that is BMW for you. The positives to take away are that if the vehicle looks anything like these renderings then sign us up.

The straight cut hood looks stupid, it should extend down to the head lights. Also I'm not sure I like the way the kidney grill and head lights meet. But that way that hood is cut is ridicules.

It's the way BMW is doing the hood, nothing we can do about it. Agree with you though.

i like the back but the front does not look so nice. I feel like the front is a cross between the current 3 and something like a WRX or KIA.

I don't see any WRX or KIA but a bunch of F10 5 series influences.

yea it looks like they phoned in the styling from the f10 and the e90.

don't like how the headlights meet the kidneys either. didn't notice the straight cut hood til it was pointed out.
but we'll see how this turns out. does this mean there is a 4 series in the works or just a m4?

2 years, F that. ill be ready for tha lambo by then.

They should have kept the M3 coupe, and made the M4 the sedan.. keeps tradition and syncs doors to model number..

They are going to do odd sedans and even coupes so there goes that.

I hope that Lexus IS-F hood bulge is moderated some what as BMW has always been better styled than Lexus.

How does that make any more sense? 5 and 7 series are sedans and the 6 is (and 8 was) a coupe. I liked the 3 series being the way it was, but in the overall scheme of BMW's portfolio it makes more sense to have the coupe become 4 series. The 1 series coupe is also becoming the 2 series, by the way.

because the M3 has always been a coupe, so if adding a new designation to the line-up, keep the heritage, and make the M4 the sedan.. thats all

    Difficult to argue this logic.

Or how about just leaving the crazy confusion of differentiating between an M3 coupe and sedan? Oh the horror.
