Honestly I'm pretty sure they would laugh hysterically and then ask if you are serious...then show you the cars they've done and then they will agree to do it if you have an insane budget.

they wouldnt laugh hysterically if they saw how many people are willing to pay for upgraded turbos on 335s, the volume they would sell would probably beat any profit they ever made from gallardos. I personally know 5 or 6 people that would buy a UGR turbo and fuel upgrade in an instant if it was offered. How many gallardo owners even know the UGR exists? Sure they make money on one kit, but i bet they would make lots more money selling 1000 335 kits.

There is far more margin in the Gallardo kits than the 335 market with kids leasing.

Show me data to back up that claim. Because I beg to differ. There are only a handful of UGR gallardos, and in 2 or 3 years when all the N54 leases are up, people are going to go on a modding frenzy like they did with the E36. If UGR doesnt step into this market, with their knowledge and resources, well then thats a stupid business decision. Jump on the opportunity IMO.

$30k bolt on kits and $55k+ kits aren't enough to convince you?

I think their decision to focus on the high end with people who actually have money is brilliant. They essentially have the exotic tuning market, big bucks.

I agree...they market exclusivity and only have high end cars to modify to keep their reputation in the exotic market.

There is reasons the 335i doesn't have a major twin turbo upgrade yet and thats because there is no room for anything bigger...UGR would not be able to do too much more than what already has been developed or is in development. The only way TT could be better is if a custom turbo was made to maximize the space in there...or just do single like already has been done.

Each exotic car they do makes them a lot money, keeps customer loyalty and increases awarness among exotic owners.

Can a motec manage vanos in the s85? Don't know about you guy but I would consider a tts85 a high end application.

Yea but s85 is still front engine...honestly though its even amazing that g power got a twin supercharger kit to fit.

Regardless...i would rather someone give them a mclaren so we could finally have a TT-S70 motor

How many kits have they sold versus how many potential buyers are there for 335 and 135 kits, show me the data.

Just because you sell 10 kits for 55k doesnt mean $#@! if you can sell 1000 kits for 15k.

I think their decision to sell kits for high end cars with people with money is a great idea too, but an even better idea would be to design a kit for the N54 platform. They would bank.

The cars that they have worked on have all been mainly midengine cars with vast amounts of space to incorporate a TT system, albeit they did a viper but that has a huge engine bay. The bmw e9x's on the other hand just don't have the huge amount of space for UGR to TT with bigger turbos, especially the s65.

As of right now, UGR has a pretty large ratio AND profit margin on turbo big turbo upgrades / built motors for exotics vs. the entirety of the N54 aftermarket with far many more cars on the market. That doesn't speak for itself?

Their F430 kits START at $49,000...

I really think they know what they are doing and you are overestimating the N54 market. More big dollar guys will throw money since this is their 5th 6th car than a kid barely convincing his parents to lease one for him or someone who barely affords the car as is. How many RB kits have sold vs. UGR gallardo's and look at the price difference.

Cant compare RB kits to UGR dude, RB is one man vs UGR an entire company. If RB could crank out kits with unlimited resources and advertising im sure he would be selling 10x more. Cant compare the two.

Go ahead and compare the entirety of N54 upgrade options then.

You can't, because there are very few. Hence, why if UGR took on this market they would bank. Imagine UGR TT and single Turbo kits and tunes for N54s for a reasonable price.

There is essentially one guy making upgrade turbos for the N54. There needs to be a big company like HPF or UGR to start making kits.

That's what people said about the supra in the 1990s. When N54s start coming off lease and come up everywhere as used cars for 20k, you'll be seeing tons of people buying them for their 2nd or 3rd project car. Right now the market is small because cars are still warrantied, but if someone invests in an aftermarket option for this motor now, they will be rich in 5-10 years; that's just my opinion.

This car is not the supra, not even close. It never will be and the supra is bought strictly as a mod platform. The 335 is the vehicle of choice for teenagers in SoCal. Different demographics. One group buys a car to mod, the other has their parents lease it and has no money to mod. If this was a supra, we would already see singles.

Maybe then it will be worth it. UGR still won't care about it though and will still be cleaning up the high end market where the real money is.

You don't understand the volume isn't what you think it is and likely never will be. Certainly not like the Supra aftermarket.
