    First 6 modifications and why.

So if you could choose 6 modifications to do to your n54 what would you choose and why? I'm looking at starting to mod my n54 when I get it and just curious how you guys see things.

    I was thinking the following

Tune (Cobb or Jb4 although if cobb integrates meth and has ATR then cobb)
Turbo back exhaust (DP / Exhaust)
    DCI
    Meth
    FMIC
    Wavetrac LSD

I'm very limited in experience to this platform though so tell me what you think?

    OP - that's about where I'm thinking.

I went DCI>JB4>(FMIC to be installed one of these days...)eventually-->exhaust or DPs>meth? (maybe)>LSD (if the car survives this long)>upgraded turbos

First, if you plan on being a tuner then goes like this.

    Boost Gauge
    Base Dyno
    Tune
    Intake/Exhaust
FMIC(If you live in hot climate)
Meth(Can be an endless routine of fiddling, get other BPU mods first before starting this endless journey)
    New Clutch
    Big Turbos
    LSD
    Upgraded ATX
    Cams/Ported Head
Secondary Port Injection and Vaporware Fuel Pump

This is assuming you have good wheels/tires/suspension. This order will change depending on your driving habbits and if you track or not or just like a quick DD. I went all the way through methanol without an LSD but I had 275/30/19 summer tires that hooked quite well and H&R Coils.

Even if you just decide to have a tune only, considder a LSD. It will change the way the.car handles, you will be able to throttle steer, overall has a very.positive effect on the handling of the car.

What downpipes are you guys using? Also where are you mounting your boost gauges? Is anyone running an AFR gauge as well?

Unless you spend all your time at the track, the brakes on these cars are pretty darn good.

    Don't waste money on exhaust.

    1. Get the JB4 with the DCI in a combo to save.

    2. DPs (3")

    3. Meth (use elbow if you have up to mid '09...mid'09+ you need full charge pipe or DIY bung)

    4. Intercooler if it gets hot where you drive.

Wheels and tires as needed. (tracking or wear) Suspension sprinkled somewhere in there if you track at all (M3 parts, stiffer bushings and coilovers)
Please just say NO to STANCE
