    Do downpipes add power?

    Hey guys,

Had a chance recently to dyno the car on JB4 map 2 with the factory downpipes/midpipe, and then again with CPE downpipes and an N55 midpipe. Do downpipes add power? The total gain was very significant and up to 30rw up top.

That's my exact plan for the 1M. How much did you get those N55 mids for?

This was Map2 with your 91+Booster combo?

    Thanks for the graph!

The N55 midpipe is a bolt in fit and doesn't have the midcats, but still has the resonator. Overall fully catless the car doesn't sound too much louder than stock. Just deeper and of course much faster and more responsive.

You can order them from getbmwparts.com. I don't have the part number handy, but they go for around $360 plus shipping.

$360 is not too bad. Does getting rid of the 2nd cats make the car a lot louder? or just a bit louder? I want my exhaust to sound a little louder than what it is right now, while gaining a few more horses. I have Catless downpipes + race mufflers.

$360 is an awesome deal considering the berk midpipes are $700 and the eisenmann midpipes are like $1500.00! Hells yeah...I told my wife about these and how much cheaper they are and the fact that they are made by BMW and she said "You should get those"...So, I am getting them!

@Terry@BMS - Do you know the part number?

Wow, interesting concept. The N55 midpipe will fit on the stock E90 exhaust correct? The fact it still has a resonator has piqued my interest....
