What phone was touch screen back when the iphone came out that was as simple to use? The "app" store on all other markets came alive after the iphone app store exploded.

I can go on and on, and I'm not an iTard - I actually detest using MACs - point is, if you're foolish enough to think that apple did not change anything, you're just being ignorant of the technological revolution around you.
See and I will be glad to prove you wrong here. Like I said, before Apple didn't revolutionize anything, they just did it better but that doesn't equal revolutionary at all. Nokia and RIM had been the major players in the cell phone market before Apple and Google got involved.

    Example:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_7710

The app store was also not invented by Apple as well, that had already been done on a Linux platform although not on a cell phone, so it's not as revolutionary as it seems at first, but again done better. Click n Run had over 9 million applications on it in a nice gui interface where users could purchase them.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNR_(software)

If you want to use a cool word for Apple for what they have achieved you probably will be better off using "evolution." That rings more true to what they had done in the last 10 years with mp3 players and phones, laptops, and tablets.

Ok, you have me there, perhaps not revolution but evolution.

All in all though, these "major players" had not really revolutionized anything, and if it were up to them, we would still be in the same old boring routine. Apple and google have stepped up and changed quite a few things where you can use the term "revolutionary" interchangeably with "evolutionary" and agree that they have.

Jobs' death is not going to affect the stock price. He wasn't even active on the BoD.

    RIP Steve Jobs

The Iphone wasn't anything revolutionary, they just took the best things about cellphones, MP3 players and made it better. When I was living in Japan, I remember when the Iphone 3G came out there, no one really bought it and laughed at it. Softbank was even offering for free on base with a 2 year contract. Japanese phones already did what it did and way more. Now they have some awesome phones there.

    "RIP
To be frank all Apple did was bring technology to the lowest common denominator and market it well."
    to
    "RIP"

    Reality distortion field in effect.

One of my friends posted on Facebook about Steve Jobs dying and how "Apple is the world's largest corporation." I had to quickly debunk that. Not even in the top 100. Apple fans are hardcore brainwashed.

They might not be a very large corporation but because of their ideas, they have most money than most. Actual reserve cash to do whatever they want with (OVER 70 Billion). Obviously they are doing something right. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but it's hard not to agree on the fact that their products are great! Everyone's trying to mimic the look of their products.

There was something about Yahoo that over the summer Apple stock peaked and it was ahead of Exxon for most valuable corporation.

That's just market value concerning capitalization of stock. Corporation size is determined by revenue. Look at the Fortune Global 500 list.

Yes, I know Apple is not atop it but that is likely where the confusion came from.
