    Never heard about that. I know he went up to tune and whatnot to fix your issues but then he essentially used you and wanted to get 9 hours of that time covered by you? Damn, the guy has no limits (or soul).

    Whatever I'm done with him, he's really turned out to be a sad character but ya whatever, moving on

    I've got a monster of a tune with the COBB+JB4 combo and I can't fuc*in wait to run it at the track...19-20psi stockish aggressive timing and solid/safe 11.7-12AFR at part throttle and post shift...that was IMPOSSIBLE even for almighty Shiv to tune on my car for 5 months on rev2 and rev2.5...

    AFR+timing map courtesy/favor from Cobb due to my constant hassling and them just being a really nice bunch...and progressive boost control courtesy of JB4 and a ton of Terry's help and friendly advice Click here to enlarge

    Hopefully I can now bring some numbers down from my 11.9@120 pump gas run on that stage 3 alpha map (really it turned out it was basically the stage 2+ pump gas map I ran on)

    It's wired in the car so I'll probably try using it for launches...as for NLS it's turned off until I get try to log and dial that in a bit better on this setup..I remember when doing NLS the AFR wouldn't look that great post shift but it might work out on this combo

    Why would it affect AFR? In any case the time of AFR being off a bit should have no seroious outcomes for a couple of quarter miles.

    Not sure why it does at the moment but it definitely does...instead of running say 12AFR post shift immediately (keep in mind on high boost this is critical or bad things are bound to happen Click here to enlarge) it runs like 13-14AFR sometimes FLAT and then comes down sometimes even 2-3 seconds later into the pull and that's bad...worst part is, as far as I remember from testing back then, its not consistent enough so you can tune around it...

    if you look at what happens during NLS, the main coil power wire gets intercepted and power to the coils is cut for the duration of the no lift shift, but almost all the boost is till there and going but the fuel is also cut as DME does this automatically upon seeing power being cut to the ignition system...then as you let go of the clutch ignition power comes back on, boost is still there, if you've got boost-activated meth injection quite a bit of meth is potentially flowing but NO fuel in that instant...and at WOT fueling is closed loop so it'll take a bit of time in that whole mess for AFRs to stabilize and come to their senses...in the meantime on really high boost you may knock out a ringland due to a leancondition due to meth flowing, boost being there and coil power coming back on with fuel only coming back on later...

    For this to work reasonably reliably with meth in there I'd have to use max 50/50 meth so its as reasonably knock suppressing as possible with all the water in there as well as wire in a meth flow cut off into the WOTBox...they do have this wire-in feature which they use to cut nitrous out during NLS and I'll try to see if I can wire it over to my meth pump to achieve the same goal

    I really think the issue was there even with meth off...the issue with meth being on though is definitely there and I definitely do have to find a way to have it turn off during NLS irrespective of the AFR situation but I'll only do that if I can get the thing working properly on just pump gas

    Well, I wouldn't depend on it that way but you can reliably say that it'd also work on another car because I am anal with datalogging almost every high boost/aggressive pull...i almost never do a pull without my laptop plugged in...sadly this isn't the case at the dragstrip as there's just too much $#@! to turn on/off when lining up, doing the burnout, etc. At the strip if I log 30% of my runs I'm happy

    last night I raced some vette and a viper that wanted to play on the highway and it was about a full minute of back to back pulls at high speed and 19-20psi boost to redline with 50/50 meth and pump gas...i was shocked what the car did to those two seriously Click here to enlarge it was sickening fast...i got off the highway and noticed my logging was on!     oh i will once its put to test. car is wired up, just gotta make sure everything does as its supposed to.. but ther is no reason to go overboard and get excited, its a band-aid...
