Thank you for thinking of me.

I am OK, just started the S54 B36. It does sound awesome even at idle.

    Currently in brake-in period of S54 B36.

We have the "holly" religious period named as Ramadan. During this period we do fast.
Fasting starts at 4 oclock in the morning, ends up at 830 in the evening.
For 16 1/2 hours we do fast.
During this time no eating no drinking.
Add to that 90-100 F hot weather.
This Ramadan holly period is important for Muslims.

I dont have much energy left to drive/test M3s.

Ramadan will end 15 days later.

Once the brake-in period and Ramadan are over I will test on the road.

I am very very excited, as the car is 3600 cc now, got two new turbos, a different suspension and lighter as well.

Meanwhile, E30/E36 drag cars are raising the bar.

David just hit 9,05 with his E36
Djborya hit 9,28 with his E30

Awesome times from both Bimmers. Congradulations to both of them.

    He's OK...
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

If I'm not mistaken for doing runs you go out of your city to do runs so you don't have to fast in that day.

You are correct, I do go out of city for tests. According to Islamic Religion Ramadan Fast Month is a FULL month. You can omit fasting if you have health problems.

If the person is healthy he/she has to fast.

    I can't stop fasting for a 60-130 test, not a possibility.

Well there are just 14 days left till Eid.

    I pray for a 3.xx s 60-130 mph run.

I meant if you go out of the city you live in, rules say you are allowed to eat/drink in that day.

I understand what you mean. The term "seferi" means that if you travel 100 km away from your home, you are named as seferi. In this case you are allowed to not fast. But you still can fast.

I would not dare to omit fasting due to a car test. I like the feeling of fasting. Best method is fasting for 30 days, live the Eid, and do the tests after Eid.

I thought holly was a plant much more related more to Christmas than middle eastern holidays.

Nope, not yet. I kind of just want to get the car complete and go from there.

Let me put it this way, if my rims sell I'll say $#@! it and do the stroker.

what kind of rims are these?

well, 4600 cc sounds awesome. If you will get a low compression engine rebuild, with new rods new pistons, you may quit that 4000 cc project and spend for 4600 cc rods pistons....

S54 shouldn't really be over bored for boosted engines, so I'm assuming you have a standard size bore or smaller for your motor...

Standard stroke for S54 is 91 millimeters.

To achieve a 3.6 displacement with standard bore, stroke must be 101 millimeters...
that is nearly 10% increase in stroke...

At 8000 rpm that would leave you with a 5302 ft/min piston speed... (1616 m/min) which is nearly 20% increase. And I'm sure you'd like to spin higher than 8000 rpm.

So you must be making a billet block and cylinder head to support this?

Unless you have an aftermarket block.

A stock bore only leaves 4mm between cylinders.. Can't go too far until there is no room for a head gasket or even o-ring to fit. Strength issues can be solved by an aftermarket block but it still must seal.

How much material can be taken away and still allow a seal? I don't have any experience with o-ringed blocks.

You have to understand he isn't working with a stock block.

Yes I agree, that's why I was asking if he was using a billet block. But even with an aftermarket block, he must retain the standard cylinder spacing, otherwise he will be engineering a whole engine from scratch.

So even if it is bored out 1 mm, leaving only 2mm between cylinders, stroke will still be 99mm which is still incredible.

I just want him to tell us what he's done to his block to make it be able to withstand these forces. But I usually can't get specifics from him.
