Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I couldn't decide between an M3 and C63 but the CPO warranty on this car swayed me. Here are a couple more pictures

Really digging the 18"s on your ride! Compliment the car very well! Blacklines for the tails? Painted reflectors? Would definitely have a cleaner look Click here to enlarge

Thanks man, I'm thinking about filling in the reflectors and license plate holes then completely respraying the front bumper. The only other mod I have planned is 50% window tint front and rear. I've thought about blacklines but they look a bit too "aftermarket" for me

If you're going to do 50%, you might as well go darker, since the legal limit in CA is 70% on the front windows. I've gotten a few fix-it tickets in my day, but after the last one, I said f it and put 5% back on the front (so it's 5% all the way around).

I was told the legal limit in California is 35% on the front windows. I know plenty of people who have 35% and have never had any problems, some have even gotten speeding tickets and have not been written up for tint. Personally, I like the look of 50% tint, but I'm mainly getting tint for the UV and heat reflection. My cars stays noticeably hotter when parked versus my brother's black/black BMW with 35% tint.

By the way, I'm in the 858, too

Getting a ticket for tint is really dependent on the cop. Motorcycle cops tend to be more of a pita (especially down here), but the state troopers will nail you, too. I've gotten in the habit of just rolling down my windows when I spot a cop or when my V1 goes off.

I highly recommend Daryl at 5 Star Customs to do your tint. He prices fairly, does a great job, and warranties his work 100%. Give him a call and tell him the guy with the blue BMW diesel sent you.

Since you're in the 858, you should come to Callahans tonight at 6:30 for a BMW CCA SD meet and greet.

I always seem to busy for the meets. I've been trying to go to Cars & Coffee for a long time now but they have the nerve to start it at 7:00am on a Saturday! Haha well thanks for helping me with the tint laws. I've also heard good things about Mr. Tint and SD Tint. The problem with the E90 is that you need to uninstall the door panel and install a felt so the tint does not scratch and not a lot of places know this

A lot of tint shops don't like to remove the panel for that purpose, either...the kit is cheap, and worth it, but still....

And yeah, C&C is too early and too far north...don't get me wrong, the cars are awesome, but still...
