Any belt slipping issues? That setup looks great. Props to Alex and the guys at Gintani. I know first hand that preparing a bracket assembly to manage the force of that blower is no easy task!

They told me no. Was surprised no cog setup was necessary.

The S65 in stock form revs to 8400 and has hit 9000. If the goal was revving the highest the S65 will win that battle with the 454.

You should dig a little deeper into the facts....

When did Nascar start using big blocks?

The data loggers may have seen 13,000 RPM, but it was from miss-shifts....no engine can make power up there because they haven't figured out the valvetrain for that.

You name an engine program, and I can usually quote the specs.....stuff you can't find on the internet.

The S65 easily out-rev's modern production pushrod V8s.

Those engines have been around for 50 years so there has been plenty of time for them to evolve. Stock, a big block revs to 5500 if you're lucky and the volumetric efficiency of a stock big block is in the 80s if youre lucky. Heads dont flow well, cam is made for stump pulling and valvetrain robs tons of power.

Comparing stock to stock. Sure ive seen pushrod V8s rev to 9800 RPM. But they get rebuild every 6-10 runs because the valvetrain cant handle it.

What dont you understand about 8300 RPM and 95% VE stock?

lol I can make a steam engine rev to 13k too, doesnt mean it likes that.

Well the reason I thought it would not fit is because the YSI barely fits. Gintani essentially told me nothing bigger would work. So I do not know how a F1-A will fit.
You should try and find an F1A laying around and just stick it in there to see if it fits, youd be surprised.

I was actually referring specifically to your 454 which isn't a Nascar motor not that they even rev that high anyway. But eventually really it will come down to the size/weight of the parts and the stroke / pistons speeds. The S65 will out-rev pretty much all large V8 production motors as stated.

I'll do it after the YSI is on I guess and I do some runs.

Do not disagree but there isn't all that much that will out-rev in the S65 in the automotive V8 world. I'm sure if someone really tried they could get it up to 10k like BMW did in their testing.

YSi will not be able to handle that motor. It will produce maybe 12 psi max on that engine.

They don't want to give any competitors an edge. I think it is too quiet personally, but I also understand their perspective. We are all anticipating the Stage III.
