9's, 147 or so. They have gotten faster since then.
http://www.audiboost.com/showthread....384#post102384 according to post 7 its no longer really a s4. Its using a skyline rear. I'm sure if bmw's were swapping ford 9inch solid rear axles many would be hitting 8's with great ease.

dude it went 9.5's @150 with the oem s4 trans and gears and stock 12valve cams. on a puny 6765. on a 12valve no vvt 2.8L. full interior and weighting in at 3550. what does the e36 weight? the skyline rear diff is the same thing but a cast iron housing 4.11 the stock aluminum ones break at 800awhp.

Since we're talking about non-audi powered audis with non audi rear ends why don't we talk about the VS E34 M5 or VS E36 Quad rotor?

In that case, the VS E34 M5 which is S38 powered with a ford 9" is running 8.8 sec @ 160 mph and the VS M3 is running 7.7 @ 180 mph.

Lol gotta love performance enthusiast battles!

I asked earlier but don't think anyone answered. Is that dyno inertia only or is it load-based?

I bet you if he was on a load-based dyne like ours it would have a much fatter torque curve. Hell there was a compound-turbo Cummins here that couldnt make over 3psi on a Dynojet. He came to us and it hit what it does on the street. Maxed out a 60psi gauge!

this discussion about Audi VS BMW is pointless, we have quarter mile list here, take a look at it to see what's going on.

I think djborya's 148mph pass was before building rear end, right?

They swapped for a stronger diff, not sure what you expect. Still a VR6 in an Audi...
