That is definitely a beautiful car and if its in excellent mechanical condition then it's worth every penny of teh 13k asking price. You must put yourself into the sellers shoes. Great cars are worth the money. Period. If you want some random 740 sport with oil leaks in a color like green, silver or even black then by all means offer your 9-10k. You cannot get offended by someone wanting more for their car.
Things this car has going for it
mechanically sound (assuming)
I have learned that you will pay one way or the other.
I used to have a estoril blue E36 M3 convertible which was fully rebuilt and fully original bodywork (no paintwork whatsoever) and was perfect in every way except minor drivers seat bolster wear. I sold it for top dollar to a guy in Virginia. No way it was selling for the price of an average E36 M3 convertible in a boring color.
Also, Matt@Cambertoe, why was it necessary to say the ethnicity of the detailers (mexicans)?? Just curious..'02 330i 5-speed, tuned by OE Tuning

8500 is a very fair price to offer. If he thinks he is going to get anything more is just crazy. I can see a high school kid with rich parents buying it for 10k >.
