G-Power kit, is it this fast?

This is an old video and you guys must have watched it atleast for once.

this must be a really strong kit, I'm wondering why it's not that populated.

We have completed numerous G Power SKII conversions and they are simply immense to drive. No issues at all.

The power delivery is very different to the Vortech equipped systems in that the G Power produces massive instantaneous low-midrange torque coupled with excellent top end power. Real world drivability is superb and the temperatures remain very low even when doing high speed long runs.

It's a shame about the early 2 conversions in the US and all of the scandals surrounding them but I am sure the world can now move on and respect the fact that this is one of the very best systems out there. The fitment and design is very much OEM and that intercooler works really well.

We will be continuing to fit more. I do however refuse to drive anymore until I do this myself because everytime I do I have to normalise myself by driving something really slow!!

The G-power stuff is great but overpriced.

The turn off is really that and also that the experience with G-power in the USA for the E9X M3 has not been good.

If you look at some of the builds Precision Sport has done with G-power the cars have made excellent power and run well. Those have been S85 based cars with $40k+ kits though. Not cheap, but a great option for the M5 and M6.

Oh and yes, they are fast.

It may be expensive but if you consider the type of supercharger, the plenum design and quality, intercooler and the amazing carbon airbox it's not so expensive.

Plus no other kit gives you that monstrous instant midrange torque.

It's only on the US forums there is a turn off, the rest of the world carries on using them.

sounds similar to whats said about the AA kit, due to running a smaller blower than the vortech

The US would not have as big of a problem if we did not see a track record of blown motors with people using the kits and then everyone abandoning them.

The S85 kits have been spectacular but are VERY expensive. I don't see how $40k can be defended.

G-power just has a much larger European presence than the USA. US tuners are usually cheaper and produce more power. G-power is a "name brand" in Europe.

    well what's the 60-130 record for SC'd M3? I think it belongs to G-Power.

I also think the owner will drive his G-Power kit longer than other kits, that's enough for people like me to chose the G-Power kit.

Belongs to G-power with a built low compression motor and high boost.

G-power has built motor kits as well, their SK-III although who knows what the pricing is. It was an SK-III setup that set the 60-130 time you were referring to.

Cutting the cross member to put a whopping huge intercooler in is worth it. A new one costs jack all anyway.

These things just do not get hot. You can drive them really really hard for long periods of time.

Blown S65 supercharged motors in the US, based info i can gather from your site and other main M3 forums, G-power had 2 blown unit in 2009. But the two other US companies, Gintani just had one blown engine in 2011, and AA i think within the last year. So all three companies had some 40k blown away somewhere.

True, but the issue was G-power blew multiple motors early on in quick succession hurting consumer confidence as the tune appeared weak. It had issues with timing for markets with 91 octane.
