Lightbulb N54 Tune Comparison Chart (Detailed)

So here it is guys and girls... This is a comparison chart to compare the popular tunes out for the n54 engine. For those of you that are ready to buy a tune for your vehicle (BMW 135, 335, 535, X635i, Z435i), this comparison chart will help you narrow down to the tune of your choice. The chart is in .PDF format so you can go to links associated with the text. This chart goes in detail and defines all the properties of these tunes. On the second page, you will find a breakdown on the features that the JB3 2.0 and PROcede v4 have. Both camps have contributed to this chart as well as reviewed it for accuracy.

I'll be collecting new data as time goes by and tuners come up with more features and improvements to implement to their respective tunes. The chart will be updated accordingly. That said the features listed in the chart are what is currently available in the market.

    Disclaimer:
Anything aftermarket can void your warranty. Read your new vehicle warranty carefully before deciding to start upgrading your vehicle.
You are protected under the Magnusson Moss Warranty act which states that a dealer must prove that a specific modification is causing an issue before refusing warranty service. This means that they cannot outright void the warranty because you have an aftermarket mod but must prove that for instance a blow off valve is causing engine problems.

AMAZING spreadsheet. This will definitely help members who are on the fence on tunes/flashes. Thanks for posting.

Some things on there need to be tweaked but that's not up to me.

Would you be opposed to me adding a column for CP-E?

I would definely wont be. I would invite any other tuners to post as much information as possible so when I update the next chart, I'll have more information as well. I'm not to familiar with the CP-E, but i would like to learn about it as people don't seem to talk about it so much here in the US.

Thanks Guys. I'm actually updating the chart in the next few weeks with other tunes and updating features that current tunes offer.

Thanks for doing this for the community! I think a lot of people would be interested in the CP-E solution as well.

looks good, but i would take out the marketing from it so it actually sounds based on fact and not a marketing approach.

yes I agree, but certain phrases in it are definatley tryng to sell, not inform. I know both were actually written by the actual tuners so its no surprise there. just state the facts, the more you try to sell, the more cautious I am

Most of the information are spread across the forums. This chart was created to inform the end-users of the different tunes available for the N54. I'm glad to take any iput from the users, as this chart was intended for us and not the vendors.

What is the valet mode? Does it limit rpm or speed?

Can someone update this to the Procede V5 / JB4?
    This is somewhat outdated.
Both tunes are no longer sold as new.
