Yes, I rent it from Greg @ SpecialtyZ for all of our tuning. Their shop is pretty close to ours. Boost on the 492wtq stock turbo run (which is a record) was around 18psi down low. Car had the stock catback and middle cats too if you can believe it!

What was the previous torque record and at how much boost? Stock turbo record of course, right?

Previous was around 480 IIRC with a competing tune at around the same boost level. Although he had no cats. We also had a customer do 488wtq a couple weeks ago. Click here to enlarge

^nice numbers and all but that afr looks ultra lean for about 800rpm... for the cars sake i hope it was a glory run. its obvious that was the key to pushing the numbers though, the afr lines mimic the torque made well.

If there are cats it can throw the A/F reading off for a second if using a sniffer on the back, plus maybe some delay from the meth ramping in. But yeah, seems a bit lean down low, I'd say even 14:1 would be safe considering Direct Injection. If the DME was in the "danger zone" it would of pulled timing/boost though, I would hope.

Pushing ~490wtq out of the stock turbos is definitely on the limits of what is possible. Click here to enlarge

If ignition is acceptable then its not too lean, the computer will tell you if its in danger by pulling advance.

I did not know N54s could make 400 whp with just DCI, tune and meth.

Terry, how much boost were you running to hit 400 whp on the tune only + meth run? I would like to run this map.

That was my car and, as the graph shows, I hit 485wtq. We all agreed that the lower rpm afr looks lean but it was not a glory run. I run those setting daily and have been running 100 octane daily. My meth began injecting at 5psi(35%) and hit 100% by 9psi so it's not a meth not spraying soon enough issue. The issue is that I just switched to a roughly 50/50 meth mix recently because my flow sensor was not working correctly all of the time at a 70/30 mix. The kit was pulled recently in preperation to switch to the new FSB setup so that I can run 90/10 meth. I also switched to a d014 nozzle instead of the cm10. I will also be running less boost under 4k rpm but more above it. I rarely push my car from a dig except for at the track but the revised set-up should hopefully cure my lean lower afr and bump up my peak hp/tq numbers a little bit at the same time. My logs for these runs were posted
in that n54tech thread if anybody cares to check them out. Timing didn't make any major drops.

Watch timing but it's OK by me. Of course, don't expect the motor to last as long as it does running map 1. Click here to enlarge
