Pair of 325's at Irish Mike's

Just got back from Irish Mike's in Orlando, where we've done a few BMWs over the years. This time it was his new STU car, featuring MOTEC ADL2 dash and M800 ECU. Also took a quick look at his old 325; this was one of our 1st Pectel installations and still runs great, with Dual VANOS and twin-stage intake manifold control.

You know me, want details ask Mike!

What I can say is that they are both SCCA STU BMW 325's. We tuned them both and anyone who knows Mike knows he's very successful in SCCA; he had quite a Grand Am & World Challenge program too.

Do they have to run on inlet restrictor or certain motor specs? What are they putting down for power? SCCA has some very popular and not so expensive races that the average person could participate in.

I have a blast just with regional Autocross!

I think the official line is that its all stock and makes stock horsepower....

What advantages does the M800 ECU offer then?

Sorry if the sarcasm wasn't apparent. Whatever the car makes for horsepower and whatever mods have been done for it, I'm pretty sure a championship-contender isn't going to tell anyone, nor would he want me posting it online!

My bad, wasn't sure if class regulations prevented horsepower from being tweaked. Not really familiar with what they require in that area of the SCCA.
