When you walk in, the walls are covered in magazine coverage writeups and articles, not only what you can see here, but all the way around to the back. These guys mean business

and a partial view of the shop. Very large, and very clean, no backyard mechanics going on in here.

they have a back portion that they brought AK and I to, and showed all sorts of transmission parts pulled apart, broken input shafts ect that they were working on.

I immediatly got a GREAT vibe from the moment i walked in here, from the fact I knew the name and reputation, such a huge shop, cleanly kept, reviews and article from just about every foriegn and domestic trans build, and the fact he has a shop in Dubai that has done LOTS AND LOTS of work for major companies, pictures with kings and royalty and their builds ect.. just so many crazy stories, and Pat was excited to have MY car there? wow, this guys is a true enthusiast. Cant wait to see the finished product Click here to enlarge

Thanks LM, found it. So what happened? Does the saga continue somewhere or was this the end of the story? I plan on seeing Pat next week.

old thread i know but - 3) New transmission fluid. $225

$225 for trans fluid shows how inflated the pricing is... should be no more than 15 mins to flush new oil, and about $40 in consumables for good stuff...

well IPT isn't a BMW dealership so they could use whatever they wanted at whatever purchase price they could get?

what oil can you get it $50/qt? i can't think of a single brand (not from a dealership) that is over even $15~ a quart unless you go full race spec stuff

Remember a couple of years back I told you about the TCU solution but my tuner was unsure how to protect it so didn't want to release the solution. Haha its happening now. All someone needs to do now is be ballsy enough to read and compare stock maps to Alpina and quite a few changes can be made to the point of making the gearchanges thud in.
