Mert the graph looks nice, how much nitrous did you use? For 1 gear and those G's it must have been alot.

    Titanium Forged Rods
    Titanium Forged Crankshaft
    Cams
    Upgraded Valvetrain
    Twin GT3076 turbos
    Copper Radiator
    Tilton Triple Carbon Clutch

    Motec
    Racelogic Traction Control

    M/Ts 265/55/16

At that time he said that the gt30s were running out of air at about 8500 rpm and 34 psi. The goal was to rev to 9500 rpm. He switched to a larger set of turbos that he said: "Custom made twin bigger turbochargers. The ready on the shelf turbos had twin-scroll turbine housings. Twin scrolls dont work on 3 cylinders, so we needed custom single entry housings."

Since then he has also switched to a Pectel SQ6.
The only thing I see strange on that list are the crank, and radiator....all made of materials that aren't very common. Might be a typo?

To rev 9000 rpm, to spray nitrous @ 90 F and keeping S54 healthy. Thats the best part of the test.

Dont try over 8000 rpm at home, you will see a carnage.

    Attachment 7864

When you look at the log:

MAx engine speed is 8928 rpm, shy of 9000 rpm on this run.

max boost: 2483 mbar absolute = 1483 mbar = 1,483 bar = 21,8 psi (during this run leak increased)

boost was leaking and forcing me to enlarge nitrous jets. Thanks nitrous, leakage was compensated.

Once I fix the leak, will boost 36 psi. I do boost 36 psi most of the time on S54.

Log also shows engine coolant temp 69 celcius degrees and oil temp 70,2 celcius, these temps are during a nitrous & 9000 rpm run @ 90F. This is the hard part of tuning, not just making power alone. It has to be usable even @ 90 F, should not overheat....
    Mert,

Thanks for posting the Cal-tool screen shots. Did you ever work with DescProW or did you start with Cal-tool?

Regarding the log: It appears you've got your TPS limits setup a little different. The OEM sensor for DBW only goes to 4.5v...where I think you've got it set to 5.0v which would explain the 93% TPS value at WOT.

He's only got one solenoid, and one nozzle hooked up in a dry configuration.I've tested the exact same solenoid he's got, and wide open it's good to just over 200hp worth of nitrous. Pull the jet out of the nozzle and you'd be nozzle limited to just over 150hp worth of flow. (He's only got one nozzle installed in a dry configuration) But....the max size in the kit hes got is a "41" jet, which will flow 60hp worth of nitrous with a well prepared bottle. So I think we can reasonably say it's 150hp or less with all options considered.

Mert, what jet size did you use?

If he is running just 26psi and hitting almost 1g consistently in 1 gear to 130 it has to be a big shot.

    Adam,

two selenoids each capable of 300 shot.

two jets. Each jet can be from 25 hp to 200 hp. So total from 50 hp to 400 hp.

I ve tried more than one combination on that day. nitrous & boost combos.

    Vick,

After talking bad about your traction, mine got worse as wellClick here to enlarge Hope yours get better.

If I could raise the boost from 26 to 36 psi, the 1 g would continue till 8000-8500 rpm.

Will do some more tests in the coming weeks.

Mickey Thompson, Pirelli, Hoosier, Nitto, M&H. In 1 day's test we try at least 2 different brands. Thats the minimum. As of now, got 6 new tires at the customs waiting for clearance and new tests.

Nice job...let me just say that you will get the repect your after if you just do your times without any reason for doubt. Your set up is awesome and part of a good set up is getting proper equipment to do it justice. Gopro will really help you out. I know if someone came on here and claimed to beat your time that you would want proof that can't be questioned, but your on the right track, I really hope that you lose the negative attitude and ignore the bad comments.

You get one go at life and I don't get why anyone would want to be known as a dick. Good luck with the car and if you treat the forums well, you can get a lot back.

    New E46 M3 60-130 record, 4.93 with Video

This run file has been verified and there is a video accompanying it. This turbo E46 M3 belongs to a controversial member but we are just going to focus on the record and details. The car was run at about 26 psi also with nitrous we believe. Redline has been raised to 9000 rpm. Owner has not provided the full specs but this is a built motor with two GT3076 turbos. Whatever the exact specs are, there is no denying this is a very fast car.

Promoted to the front page, adding to the list shortly.

Mert, I need the full specs on the car. Turbo, psi, nitrous, everything used on this run.
