FS: Quaife LSD in diff for 6MT owners..

Im selling this for a customer of mine (sr20seb) since he is currently out of a job at the moment. Would like to fetch what I paid for it ($2500), brand new in the housing. Would require your core shipped back ASAP to HP Autowerks in cali.

It is for all 6MT owners, would like to find someone local first if possible...there is a month+ backorder on them right now, due to the shortage of cores. This could be your chance to get it right now without waiting Click here to enlarge

Quaife is really good, i just realized the LSD in older BMW's came from Quafie, they are bullet proof.

Don't think this applies to the xDrive.

But don't X-drives have more than one diff?

There's a front diff, rear diff, and transfer case. The transfer case just shuffles torque between axles.

    Mazdaspeed6 - I'm interested to hear why you don't think I need a LSD.

LSD can still be a benefit on an AWD car.

I will call harold today and ask him if this is compatible with XI models..

    Thx Matt,

I know my other AWD car would be almost undrivable on the track without a LSD. I tracked the 335xi a couple times last season and was fine at stock power, but I'm running the Cobb AP now and even on the street can feel the onset of traction issues on hard corner exits. I'll take it to the track in the next week or two and get a feel for how close to needing the LSD I am right now. If I were to predict the future, torque will be increasing which will exacerbate traction issues.

Mazdaspeed6, I'm not calling BS on your comment. Actually interested in the applications and power levels you've seen the xi be happy with open diffs.

    Cheers,
    Dan

But wouldn't you need two diffs to not confuse the computer / traction control?

I wouldn't think so since the car monitors wheel spin at each wheel. It would just appear that the car has traction and keep on rockin'.
