A few questions for the experts.. M3 diff final drive ratios

The car in question is a maual E90 m3..

I'd just like to know if anyone fitted a DCT diff to a manual because I was told its a better ratio.. Am i correct?

Also the short shifter kit. Will it make a considerable difference?

Anyone who has done the above modifications response will be greatly appreciated..
    Thanks

    Hello,

The M3 DCT engine has a different computer that controls engine and transmission management. The easy part is swapping the actual transmission, the hard part will be to get your S65 to not want to reject this tumor(your new transmission) that didnt belong there. If you want to swap that DCT into your car, it will cost you a hell of a lot more money then just trading it in for a DCT M3.

The DCT final drive is 3.15 vs. the manual 3.84 so if you want a shorter final drive you will need to go to a 4.10.

The DCT final drive would be way too long for a manual.

I would stick with the diff you have or go shorter. The DCT diff will kill the acceleration in the first three gears.
