Wow, I just read through this thread. Wasn't aware you've been without your car almost two years Click here to enlarge

Maybe that explains your bitterness towards us N54ers who get to enjoy our cars daily (unless it's at the dealer getting a new HPFP) Click here to enlarge

I honestly feel with you and hope you'll get your back soon! When I'm without mine for a week, let alone a month, I start to feel miserable already...

Sticky not for nothing but just to put this into perspective: we found a new undeveloped lot to build a house on,had the lot cleared&900' driveway cut in&paved, built a 4000sq.ft house on the lot,had it fully landscaped, moved in,had a custom in-ground pool dug into the backyard and had a kid all in a shorter time frame then its taking to put a supercharger/built engine or whatever on your car...and anybody whose built a house from the ground up knows that $#@! don't happen overnight. I feel bad for you, something is CLEARLY not right with this situation&you have to make a move in whatever direction needed to have them complete this build asap. Take a step back, remove yourself from the situation for a few minutes and ask yourself, "should it really take this long or is something obviously wrong here??" Click here to enlarge

Bro I think the problem is sticky, if you show too much patience your stuff gets put on the back burner and stays there. Also he is probably getting it done for free or at a large discount and this often leads people to think "I'll get to it when I get to it". It happened to me along time ago where I was testing something for a company and they were under the impression that they were "hooking me up" I informed them that this was a business transaction like any other, they may not have been receiving cash but they were getting my car to $#@! around with and were gonna be able to show off their product on a very modified car which was of great value to them. Once they saw I was at the end of my rope $#@! got done quick.

It's not really Gintani's fault. I was there last week and they've been waiting on SSP, that is really the only case. Once they move their cooler, they want to start the install the motor in the car. I wouldnt want to rush it, esp just for a half mile roll right when you get the car. At least break in the stage 3 the right way, and then lets go to Mojave mile. I'm coming with you Sticky, I already called shotgun there. LOL

    Bug them...

No seriously. Go there, offer them to order parts yourself if they are too "busy" to take care of it. Take $#@!ing charge of your build if they won't!
It has past the time of wanting this build to finish. Probably more then a year, but that was the tranny's fault. Ok, granted.
But Gintani has full control of the build now, so no more excuses. Make them work on it. They need to step up some notches.
This is no quality shop. It looks like a bunch of slackers to me.
I would only bring my car there for a tune if I plan to leave the country for a year...
They are getting blame for SSP's lag, it isn't fair. Could they do things better? Sure, but so could everyone.

I'll be in their area soon and will be there everyday to follow up on it. For now, I just have to be patient.

You guys are being way too negative.

Yes, it's taken way too long. Ok, nothing can be changed about the past.

We are where we are and let's move forward positively instead of focusing on the time of the build. I won't ever do a build like this again or without a set timetable or without someone having done it first. Being a guinea pig isn't fun but this is for the benefit of BimmerBoost so I hope it all pays off.

I could sit here and be angry and call up Gintani every 5 minutes. What will it accomplish?

Gintani is NOT waiting on SSP.....period.

Gintani needs to re-located the transmission cooler to fit with there kit. This is NOT something that SSP can do. Once they figure out a proper mounting location, they can send us the measurements so we can make new lines.

    So, Gintani are slacking.
Thank you Jeremy for clearing this up.

Someone at Gintani needs to actually be put to work on your car, Sticky.
They just parked it way in the back of the garage so it seems.

LOL well you would think that with all the publicity you can give them and basically giving up your car for two years while they do R&D to a product they'll be able to make money off of, you'd be inline for a large discount but I guess you slipped sticky! Anyways if you have no problem with things taking 10x's as long as they should then we shouldn't either. For example relocating the cooler shouldn't take long at all if someone was focused on doing it, and then they need to have SSP send the new lines? I've cut and made all the braided lines in my drag car in my garage why not get it done all at once?

I should get a larger discount (I got a discount, not a large one) IMO but yes I should be getting much more out of this. Especially considering all I'm going to be doing with the car is promotional work. I definitely have much more pull now though than I did back then.

Exactly, it's my car let me worry about it. The cooler relocation should have been done this week. The only reason for it not to be is due to communication issues.

    It will get done.

Yes, I will be driving it this year. It isn't even that bad, it's really everyone else focusing on the time. Gintani Stage III's are doing nice.
