    I've always followed the principal that if its right, its right.. and you'll know pretty quickly. The rings seat in minutes, and other than a few additional oil changes during break in there's really no reason not to run it all out.

    Or atleast on all my built motors thats what i've done. Just finished building the motor tonight, broke it in on the dyno, will be at shift sector ready to rock and roll.

    I know the pros and cons but there are more cons than pros, the Mustang and Vette guys do not even run them anymore, the big dawgs are running turbos or twin screws. Since my money race with Sticky is a 1/4 mile that is why I said I am even less worried. You are right about the big end power but in many ways a centri takes many of the negative characteristic of a single big turbo, the bigger the blower the bigger the lag(for lack of a btter term). Lets face it,its pretty dated technology when talking about forced induction applications.
    Actually the big dog on the 5.0 is a paxton centri. Car is making something like 1200whp and runs mid 8s full weight on drag radials lol. Centris are the way to go my friend, and it is what I am buying for my 5.0.

    This motor is a bit different than most built blocks. There are a few areas to pay attention to and check before upping the boost. Now it's a matter of upping the boost progressively and street miles. Then race tune.

    Exactly and I'd go bigger than the YSI if I could make it fit. My fuel system has 1000cc injectors and some beefy pumps. Nobody else comes close on the S65 so yes FTW Purple it is.

    Can't wait to see more videos of the car running. I probably watched the video on the dyno 10+ times. It sounds like it was to be unleashed but the dyno operator kept shifting right before big power. He has a lot more control over his lead foot than I do with mine.

    This thread is so much more enjoyable to read now.

    Good luck with the car. I would say take it slow and don't rush anything, but you've proven yourself a patient man, @Sticky. I am looking forward to reading the engine build thread.
