Nice numbers and all but car is likely stripped as he always runs and also this is a VBOX time right?

Now it's a .40 nozzle? And 128 on a VBOX but he claimed running 130+ or whatever on a .28 nozzle?

He's on a .040 jet now. The .028 only ran around 125mph on the VBOX IIRC. Maybe he forgot to put a jet in last time! LOL

But no denying the car runs fast. Easily the quickest/fastest N54 out there.

How does a supposedly larger jet produce a slower trap? Unless he wasn't on the jet he claimed?

True, and I hope he doesn't $#@! out from running me again.

He had a .028 jet in it before. He's not as sophisticated as many of you would like to think. It was the only jet he had. But he had the JB3 back then which didn't have the same high level of logging ability we have now with the JB4. So I don't have any answers as to why its slower now with the same jet. But the logs now look good, timing clean, AFR 11.5:1, etc. All solid. It may have some clog in the nitrous system preventing full flow. It was probably much leaner before also.

I was told he had a larger jet.

I believe that is the answer as to why its slower, he wasn't running on as small of a jet before as he claimed. Unless the car defies physics?

I'm sure it all looks great, it is fast, but just want to point out how Hotrod portrays a setup vs. how it actually is.

He either had no clue what jet he was using or he knew exactly what he was doing. I am guessing the latter and he was misleading people.

Which of these would you lean towards?

I just don't understand why he would make such an obvious mistake. If he already lied, might as well continue with it rather than confirm it by running a slower time with a larger jet.

How big is the difference between a .28 dry shot and .40, anyone?

I don't think he had any larger jets as I had to give him a .040. Honestly I don't give a rats ass whether he ran a .073 jet, no jet, or a .028 jet. Clearly he went from 124mph to 133mph same day same track with nitrous. How much nitrous it took to get there is sort of irrelevant IMHO. The next weekend Shiv running his tuning picked up 3mph with a .035 jet.

It's relevant, as if he lies about the jet it casts a shadow of doubt over all other specs he has claimed. It essentially makes the data useless as a reference and it should only be treated as a glory number hit and not a representation of what a certain setup can realistically do.

He does a pretty good job of posting lots of data. Any time you meet up with him at the track he's sitting there with the hood up, and is happy to share all his mods, etc.

Posting a lot of data does not equate to a credible source. Yes, he will chat at the track and so forth. You and him also have a relationship that works to both of your benefits so I understand your perspective.

I trapped 130 at the strip not on a VBOX. No idea why he thinks his car is faster especially considering he wouldn't run me. Not to mention my car dyno'd more and has a DCT. It would have annihilated him without nitrous but I'll be glad to run him when they wrap it up. He will $#@! out again though and try to get someone else to run instead.
