    My new baby

here is my new Lancia Beta Spider(Zagato), one of 9390 every bulit.
I bought it for $14,500 which may sounds a lot for you guys, but it's considered as a great buy here.
it has 73,000 KM on it whichi i highly doubt it, but it's not that bad.
the apperance of the car is just amazing, the previous owner(it's a second hand car) did a great job with keeping in one piece but the interior isn't superb and the engine/trans need a mighty service Click here to enlarge
finding the original part for Italian cars is really hard, and this one is even harder, maybe i should try Ebay but the available parts on Ebay are low quality.
soon i will put some pics of updated interior, but for now it's just exterior which really rubbed my heart

I still find it amazing you are able to get cars like that over there.
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

actually in the previous regime, you could Import cars without paying taxes so the foreign cars were really common.
in the last 30 years we couldn't import cars, so only crappy junks from native automakers were only our choices but importing cars has been allowed for the last 5 years with a really high 110% tax.

it's a car that even Italians call it unreliable, it gives you the idea !
the time you spend under the car is more than the time you spend behind the wheel.
but it's really fun, and to me it's really beautiful.

I'll race you with an Alfa Romeo Spider. It might not be a fun race to watch, but it would sound like heaven!

Great memory, yes i did have.

you have 2 options in Iran for buying a foreign car,
1- you can import it, but you have to pay %100 of MSRP as taxes to government, for example in R8 case i should have paid an extra $200,000 to government to gate a plate and stuff like that which it sounds really crazy, it may sense for a Camry because you would pay $18,000 tax but in cars with higher MSRP paying the tax really kills you
2- You can import car without paying taxes, but the car can't stay in country much more than 6 months and after that period the car must leave.

i usually get my cars this way, no way i pay those savage nuts in government. for R8 after spending the 6 months limitation i got extension for another 6 months(it's really hard, you should pay fine everyone in the boarder and shut their mouthes), last month the extension was gone so i shipped it to UAE and sold it there.
911's 6 months period will be gone next week, i shipped to Kuwait and sold it there.

I'm thinking about next car, this time it should be much cheaper, me and my wallet are really screwed Click here to enlarge

Yes, as well as other stuff here but it's still my home.
I don't know what will be the next car, maybe a Vantage.
