we went to the dyno today. Coupled with the fact that it was 91 outside (100+ in the dyno room) and 90% humidity, we put out a measly 240whp at Performance Motorsports again.

They had issues calibrating the dyno after they locked it into AWD, the shop car kept throwing a 2774 code for Mass Airflow sensor (came on in the middle of a dyno pull), and throwing a 3106 Cat Efficiency code. Terrys looking into it at the moment, as none of my AR catless DP/Injen Intake cars have exhibited this issue, which is kinda odd considering the catted DP should have more backpressure to it.

Unfortunatley my customer is leaving next week to go on a 2 month long vacation to Italy and then to Greece, so he wont be back til sometime in September....hopefully the weather will cooperate better then.

Any updates on another dyno run?

Do you think the catted DP is going to be comparable to the catless DP with regard to power gains?

The catless will give slightly more.

We are waiting for the weather to cool down some...i have been in the talks with Performancd Motorsports about a dyno day soon.

The catless will always yield more power. We are running the stage 2 bms unit now but we still keep getting the nasty MAF overrun code. Im going to put the stock airbox back in and see if that changes anything.

I have some good news to report...we should have the car back up and running shortly. Found the issue, and that was a cracked charge pipe.

It wasnt in the same area as where they usually break (right by the throttlebody), this one split right where the mounting point was on the alternator, leaving a small 2" crack along the mold line that you couldnt see unless you probed it with a screwdriver or flexed the pipe around a little bit.

Going to see if we cant get an ER charge pipe on the way.

Oops! Thought this was a discussion on the ER chargepipe. Deleted post. Click here to enlarge

PS. The AR 4" catted downpipe is awesome especially coupled with our Stage2 tuning: http://www.burgertuning.com/N55_BMW_...downpipes.html
