we went to Performance Motorsports today and had a stock baseline run, I took pictures of the graphs which will be up later. Car made 292awhp and 354ft/lbs with an Injen intake as the only mod.

We will be back next week for an after dyno Click here to enlarge

Baseline with intake then the run will be with the AR downpipe right?

I'm concerned the AR downpipe might not show well without a tune.

Sorry i forgot to add that the car still has the jb3 as mentioned previously.

Oddly enough, his car does not have the latest update from BMW I believe, and Rborgia who also dynoed completely stock on the jb3 made almost as much hp...almost enough to negate the intake on Sals car.

So Terry is onto something..I would recommend getting your N55 updated before heading to the dyno.

Those were with the Injen Intake and the N55 Stage 1 tune (+5.00 boost over stock)

The initial run came out pretty low, reset the tune and ran again.

I am not aware if they performed any base line dynos prior to the runs yesterday. Yesterdays runs were all done at +5 over stock boost. His N55 stage 1 settings were slightly different than my settings on his intial runs, which resulted in considerable lower numbers than my car (same car, just no intake). We reconfigured the tune to be identicle to my settings and he came up considerably to his higher numbers.

These are my results from yesterday... (Same model, year, tune).

    Run 1: 261 tq / 270 hp (Stock)
    Run 2: 320 tq / 280 hp (+3.50 boost)
    Run 3: 353 tq / 285 hp (+5.00 boost)

So, the intake may provide a minor bump in hp/tq, but not much. In the end, they have a base line and can now test the catted DP, which many are anxiously awaiting.

My shop N55 car was dynoed at EPL last year and it read a paltry 240awhp...i plan to retest it again at Performance Motorsports before going crazy with it.

Well with the first few N55 pipes we had some issues but its been ironed out.

On a further note, the pipe is in and it fits like a glove! Took a very slight tweak to the bracket and it fit perfect. As per the customer it hauls ass and was getting better and better as the car adapted to it. Its not as aurally pleasing as the catless one but I think the power is still there Click here to enlarge

    Dynos to come next week.

*update* Just got a text from my customer and he said hes getting the traction light flashing in 2nd gear while leaving stop lights....and this is an X-drive car with some Linea Corse Strasse 19s (read: heavy)...

I'm chewing my nails off waiting to hear the results!

Has anyone quantified results for a jb n55 w/ a catted dp?
