So Sony now offers to pay for replacement costs of a credit card if the customer asks them for it.
It is for now still unclear if the creditcards need replacing though...

    All consoles suck for gameplaying.
Wii has created his own platform, but for serious gaming there is no substitute for PC games.
It's just that some games are console specific. That's just a pitty. It means I will never play those games...

Mmm, I take that back. I really like that all the kids are on consoles. Filters things out a lot.

I have never given my credit card info to Sony, because I don't game on PSN. I, do, have a PSN account to use Netflix on the PS3, which is down and that's what is pissing me off.

I'm keeping a daily watch on my credit card balance.. I'm not too bothered, because Visa covers all fraud activity anyway.

If they want somebody to blame, they can go to Sony, who stored thousands of full card details on a machine that was obviously openly accessible to the public network. There are plenty of ways do to this securely, but Sony opted for the insecure route .. probably in the name of profit.

Odd. I have had mine for about 3 years. I know before that time frame people were getting the red ring of death, but I know about the time I got mine thats when they had pretty much gotten rid of that issue. Were you getting old used units?

I used to say the same thing as you.

I had a launch model, got it the day it came out. I laughed at people having problems saying I had none for 2 years straight. Then the RROD, then another on a new Xbox, then failed video card, and now on my fourth one the disc drive gets stuck.

    4 Xbox 360's?

Dammmn that blows. I was going to get a ps3 for the online stuff like net surfing, and the blue ray. Alot of my friends save there games onto their hard drives on the xbox to prevent the disc drive from wearing out. I have done that for the games I play a lot.

I was playing CoD at my friend's house on Monday and he suddnly got the RROD. He just bought a new one but it would be cool if I could fix the other one. What's the best way to get it repaired?
