hey Drew, how much did you pay for your ESS kit and install?

I hope your as open and forthecoming with boost used when doing your 1/4mile, dyno's and fun runs as you previously were. It would be odd to not have those things you always showed before, and now "somehow" couldnt

also, take it slow and safe, i dont think your marriage can handle another car mis-hap

I thought the motor was just rebuilt by Gintani under company warranty????
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

No, they got him a complete motor. This also accounted for the wait...

I personally think Drew is a great guy although we don't talk to each other much. I'm very happy for him to get his motor and car up and running again.

I would have done a few things differently if I was in his shoes. the fact that Gintani did pay for labour and part of the cost of the engine I think they do earn a right to communicate to each other and smooth out differences. There must have been good times when he did own the kit and I'm sure Gintani/OE gave him the best of service that not even money can't buy.

All this Gintani vs ESS bullsh1t got old so long ago. It just never seems to stop around this side of the house. Why can't people just accept whatever kit they want to run? This is not $#@!ing communism, people can run whatever the $#@! they want and be happy with it. Kinda funny the way some people sound in forums, sounds and looks like high school bickering sh1t. Grown ass men acting like teenagers......just like the BMS vs Vishnu bullsh1t, will never end. People always trying to look for weaknesses in each other kits to talk $#@! about. Get a $#@!ing life, and if you really wanna impress people to see who's got the bigger cock. Go do some runs side to side, post some $#@!ing slips at the track comparing each other and let it be the end of it FFS. Popcorn anyone? Click here to enlarge

Exactly, and hopefully now we can get some useful, direct comparisons so all the talk can stop.

This is exactly it, very shady and it's designed to do exactly what it comes off as hence why they gave him the deal. Some of these guys should be running for senate seats.

I actually like ESS' stuff but there is so much shady back door stuff going on with this, I don't believe a word that 90% of the people involved have to say about anything.

Exactly, and some seem to be confusing criticism of the shady back door deals with criticism of the product which is well liked.

What this goes to show is many people who act like they are nice, and act like they want the best for enthusiasts, are just all talk when it comes down to it. It is all just a facade and some people still are buying it. In reality, they won't hesitate to sell you out for their own gain in a split second. Can't respect that in the least.

That has nothing to do with luck.

I guess it goes to show almost nobody is above selling themselves and their principles out for $.

Batta what I know is this, you paid retail right? You had issues right? You always did the right thing, paid, and didn't sit around blasting anyone.

When Evan had his issues, you were one of the first people who said hey things happen and you should have to pay like everyone else.

I agree completely with your logic and it is no different here.

I paid retail for kit. At the time of my first hpf stage 2 purchase there was a sale going. So I saved a little. I just missed there subframe install group by but they gave me the group buy price. I paid for alot of OEM parts that were messed up from not so good AA sc install. HPF gave best price on all oem parts, fixed massive oil leak.

HPF did help me where they could but it was nothing crazy. I paid shipping both ways.

Engine failure. I pay shipping there. Hpf tears engine down. Gives me 2 options. Replace stock engine for free and stay stg2 or upgrade to 2.5 with NO labor since engine is apart.

I paid for all 2.5 parts around 7500 then 1000 for machine shop work 600 or so for new oil pump. Couple hundred dollars on oem parts. I got some extra as oil cooler, painted mani.

I needed a block me and hpf split the cost and final they did pay shipping home.

HPF helped were they could I never asked for FREE. In Evans case I paid for some stuff that he did not. Oh well. Hpf also bought my AA kit which helped. I currently owe 5400 to them. Which I pay 500 a month or 1000 when I can. These numbers are just off the top of my head but you get the idea.
