Whats a good semi auto assault rifle that shoots 308 rounds (7.62 x 51mm)?

I want to buy an FN FAL SOOOO BAD but they can be expensive, looking for a small frame semi auto 308 shooter, tactical short and mid range.

AR10 is nice for AR15 shooters, but i have to second the FAL. And for that i'd go DSA, they've got the sweet zombie-killers which sounds like what you're after. Pricey but totally turnkey.

You know that FALs have issues with country of origin of the parts, a certain percentage must not be imported to get around the ban on imported military rifles, so you must mind that if you're building one from scratch.

We want groupage! (mine are terrible but always on com!).

Once i learn to make vids i'll try to post some live footage, you should too. That's what's missing from our gun threads. I like low-light ones where you can see the flash, lets you see what your brake's doing. Nice side profiles so you can check your grip control too. I used to have a bowling coach that did that with me and boosted my average like 30 points over just a few months.

yes, but they are only good for pictures and movies, they suck in real life by anyone that actually needs to use it. The m110 is actually preferred-greater distance, semi-auto, and quick attach suppressore, and much more comfortable to shoot.

That other .308 looks like the new EBR we are supposed to get to replace the m24. im jealous

Original FN FALs made in belgium are going for like 3-5k. The cheap china $#@! that looks like a FAL is like 800 LOL talk about QUALITY DIFFERENCE.

Theres a reason why FN makes the best $#@!, you gotta pay for it.

They also make the FN Five-seven which is a RIDICULOUS OVERKILL HANDGUN for those that need to shoot through 3 people at point blank range.

Yeah but can you import an entirely Belgian-made FAL? Pre-ban maybe i guess.

DSA's include as much Belgian FAL parts as they can, including lower. They just add a few domestic parts to classify it as non-imported. Their FAL's can also set you back a few grand, tho. But they've got Para's, short-barrel tacticals, heavy-barrel tripod ones, whatever you want. It's FAL heaven: http://www.dsarms.com/

I have a five-seven btw, awesome versatile piece.

Do u really? Five-seven is a sick gun, youll have to let me shoot it one day. Do you ever go to Okeechobee shooting? Thats an AWESOME range about an hour away.

Be happy to. FioNa's out at Goshen right now as the test platform for the upcoming Hexsite model for it, but am always up for new FsN-friendly ranges. Palm Beach Shooting Center considers it a rifle round, but Revere in Pompano and pretty much all the Broward ranges are cool with it. I did recently get invited to try the Okeechobee range by the smith over at Gator who said it was his range. It just opened right? Way out Southern Bvd?

The range is far north, it's close to lake okeechobee. Its about an hour from palm beach but worth it, that range is fun as hell.

I am looking for a place to take my old computer to shoot, cant find a good open place to do it.
