Im sure a 1.61 60ft = lack of traction...... lol

Curious to see the full break down of the slip if anyone has it?

On another note how do these 800whp cars only trap mid 130's?

The track is a very slow track when a ZO6 is trapping 118mph, e9x M3's only 102-104mph, ect ect

Just posting what I've read elsewhere.

Chris said he was only at 750whp.

I won't be going back next year. It was worse than last year as far as organization is concerned. There were half as many vendors present. It looked to me like they lost quite a bit of sponsorship over last year. There seemed to be more cars overall this year though, but less was going on. The drag event was pretty weak. Mfest has grown larger than the organizers skill level can handle. If they want Mfest to grow they need to bring in people with experience in running large motor sport events.

To me Mfest is just a local meet on steroids. I was hoping this year they would have improved but I saw less improvement overall. It's more about the partying and less about the cars. I'm wishing I had not gone to Mfest and saved the expense for Bimmerfest to be quite honest.

On a positive note however, it was worth it to hang out with the HPF shop guys and other HPF owners for the weekend. If it had not been for that I would have probably just left Saturday morning.

Maybe neither of them could drive.... Ive seen a few Z06's with $#@!ty drivers not break 11's....

Even if the Z06 was trapping 118, lets say realistically its a 123-125 trap car... that still only puts the HPF car in the mid to high 130's which is still not that well, great.....

I found the trap speed to be extremely encouraging since I was using the lowest HP map available to me. The OS Giken 3 disc clutch is one major $#@! to get to slip. With some practice I should be able to bust 10's quite easily at my local track where we are at sea level.
That is an encouraging trap especially at what isn't a very fast track.

Yes it is, 3700 DA in the desert is not a recipe for record breaking times. That HPF was so close to 10's in those conditions is quite remarkable.

This is the best and most honest summary I have read about Mfest probably ever.

I feel you nailed it and agree 100%.

I have stated many times that without the Vegas component there really isn't much beyond that. Thing is, I can go to Vegas whenever for Vegas. This is about the cars.

At least they finally got the drag strip though.
