Just for manuals I take it?

That should make a big difference in their launch quality providing the subframes have been beefed up.

Mostly everyone get subframe reinforced at hpf. I see it as a must for any setup. That car might have some extras.

Don't know anything about anti-lag. Could this be used with the SMG launch control?

SMG launch control is limited in RPM so don't think so.

Anti-lag is to give you boost at the line.

My car should have been setup for 2-step/anti lag. I wanted no lift shift capability but I was told the car would be to much of a monster to handle with boost shifting. I guess we find out soon enough.

Flat shifting might be enough to push you into the 200s...

I believe I am the only person to run a 2 step on a DME at the track...and it didn't go well. The DME freaked out half the time and went into limp mode. Now I don't know if the MSS54 will respond the same way the MS43 does with the AEM...but it will interesting to see just the same.

I'll see if I can dig up some in-car video....

A two-step is simply a 2nd rev limiter which allows you to leave the line at a specific predetermined rpm every time.

I'm just a hobbiest that enjoys playing with my cars. Lots of people on this forum have more experience that I do in many areas....I just seem to have a knack for having done certain things before many others....

Wait, so they aren't actually building boost at the line just raising RPM's? I thought someone said they were using an "anti-lag" setup?

Forgive HPf they are still trying to correct car's shutting off, because of cheap connectors. How's the beast running?

They are using anti-lag. I think you're getting confused with Adam talking about using a two-step on the stock DME on his car.

    Guys,

2-step = 2nd rev limiter that usually can be adjusted, good for consistent launching.

Anti-lag = Spools the turbo by igniting fuel in the exhaust manifold AND/OR retarding ignition timing far enough to allow some combustion gas to flow past the exhaust valves. The allows more power for turbo cars off the line, and a reduction of turbo lag post shift.

Watch some Group B rally videos for some cool Anti-lag action.

Perhaps, I thought it was an anti-lag setup and it seems it is. What I think they would want is boost building at the line.
